Trip Informations
Get wild on this 11-day adventure through the remote Kimberley Outback. Sparsely populated and ruggedly beautiful, you’ll walk through Wunaamin Miliwundi Ranges Conservation Park to Manning Gorge, explore the Tunnel Creek cave system and spend two nights under the stars in your permanent tented camp in Purnululu National Park. Swim in waterfalls and gorges, hike through red-rock formations and palm oases and learn about the rich First Nations history of the area from Traditional Custodians. Whether you’re visiting from overseas or travelling domestically, this journey through the Kimberley showcases some of the best parts of the Aussie Outback.

Is this trip right for you?

This trip involves plenty of walking over varied terrain and is best suited to travellers with a good level of mobility. A reasonable level of fitness and being sure on your feet is necessary to participate. Good footwear (hiking boots with ankle support and closed toe water shoes), clothing for all types of weather (sun protection and warm layers for the evening), plus perhaps walking poles are recommended for extra stability on uneven rocky terrain. Details on physical activities can be found in the daily itinerary.
verified
This is a camping trip. Simple facilities and lack of emphasis on creature comforts make this an authentic experience of the Australian outback. A Single Supplement is not available on the default version of this trip. As a single traveller you will have a tent to yourself on camping nights, however in the permanent tented camps you will be paired up with another single traveller of the same gender. An accommodation upgrade (Camping Plus) for nights 4, 5, 6, 7 and 10 is available upon request and subject to availability at an additional cost. Camping Plus can also be booked with the option of a single supplement. Please see the accommodation section of your trip notes or speak to your travel agent for more details.
verified
Please note that you must bring your own sleeping bag, suitable to the conditions. Please familiarise yourself with the weather conditions that are to be expected at the time of your trip. You can also hire a sleeping bag from us at an additional cost. This must be requested with your booking agent no later than 14 days prior to departure.
verified
On some days of the trip, you’ll spend several hours driving through very sparse areas of Australia. Sit back and enjoy landscapes that you would miss in any other form of travel. Extra space can be tight, and conditions may feel a little cramped. There will be some very early mornings.
verified
It is very important that you advise us of any dietary requirements and allergies at least 2 weeks prior to departure. We need this information well ahead of time to be able organise catering for the trip. This trip’s remote location means that some food items will not be available on short notice, and once the trip has commenced changes to dietary requirements are not possible. Please also advise us of any medical conditions at the time of booking and bring along any personal medication. Please note that if you require urgent medical attention during the trip, it may take several hours or more for emergency services to attend the scene and take you to a medical facility.

This was the complete trip in every sense. I imagined the beauty of the Kimberley but it was much better then I could ever of dreamt of. However this was only a portion of why the trip was complete. We had such a great group of people travelling that made it so much fun.
I can not compliment our guides Alice and Judy enough, they were the perfect team. Their knowledge of the country and indigenous people and their culture was amazing, their enthusiasm, energy, engagement of all tasks kept everyone motivated and working together. Especially after such long and energy sapping days, they continued to get us all involved. The feeling of community within the group was fantastic and this was fostered by our guides who were funny and great story tellers.
They also knew so much about the flora and fauna and are so passionate it was infectious, it made me want to know more about all things.
They are beautiful, sincere, honest and tireless , we all became close by the end and it was sad to depart.
I loved everything about the trip and will definitely recommend it to others.
We are so lucky to have such a wonderful country.

A great and beautiful way to see the kimberlies in 11 days. My tour leaders Alice and Judy was exceptional guides and knew so much about the land, its traditional custodial owners and the plants and the wildlife. The natural views of all the kimberlies are a wonder to behold and my personal favourite was cathedral gorge.

This was a real adventure with the draw card being that wth all the planning and organising already done you could focus on immersing yourself in the wonderful spirit of the Kimberley. Our tour leaders really made the experience unique and memorable. Georgia and Andrew were professional, passionate, knowledgeable and displayed such amazing levels of energy and enthusiasm that the group rose to and embraced every challenge. 100% loved it !!

This was always going to be a great trip but it was turned into something special by the way our two trip leaders gave so much of themselves to give us insights and service. The scenery in the spots we visited was stunning and the insights into the local people compelling
