Trip Informations
Remote bays, coral reefs, desert landscapes, a beach made up entirely of seashells and a bright pink lake – this west coast adventure showcases Australia’s scenic beauty over eight beautiful days. Starting in Exmouth, you’ll head into Cape Range National Park and go snorkelling in Oyster Stacks, search for turtles on a glass-bottom boat and look out for marine wildlife from above and under the water. Visit Shark Bay’s Shell Beach, enjoy some time to get active, then head into Kalbarri National Park. Explore lookouts and short walks, see Hutt Lagoon’s vibrant pink hues, then wander the strange landscape of the Pinnacles Desert. Now this is one for the nature lovers!
Why you’ll love this trip
Hike the rugged red cliffs of Yardie Gorge, looking out for black-footed rock wallabies and taking in views over the chasm and the Ningaloo Reef’s turquoise waters.
Soak up the natural beauty of Ningaloo Reef – a UNESCO World Heritage site. Take a three-hour, glass-bottom boat tour to spot turtles in Coral Bay and maybe spend your free time walking the shores of Oyster Bay and Turquoise Bay.
Visit Shell Beach – one of only two beaches in the world made entirely from seashells – during your time in the Shark Bay World Heritage Area. Then, spend your free time exploring the bay however you like. Maybe go kayaking, snorkelling, stand-up paddleboarding or 4WDing.
Walk through the otherworldly landscape of the Pinnacles Desert – this national reserve is peppered with strange natural limestone structures that date back around 30,000 years!
See the vibrant pink and lilac hues of Hutt Lagoon – the extra-high salinity in the lake causes the bright shades of colour.
Is this trip right for you?

This trip requires a moderate to good level of fitness as it involves some walking, allowing you to really immerse in nature. Please bring sturdy, comfortable walking shoes and comfortable clothing.
When travelling in Western Australia, temperatures can be very hot during the day and drop quite dramatically at night. Have a think about what time of year suits you best to travel and pack accordingly.
As Western Australia is so big, you can expect a few long travel days. Driving through the ever-changing scenery can be a great way to rest and recharge or get to know your fellow travellers a little better!
