You'll be spending two nights with local families on this trip. While during these homestays the accommodation is shared and basic, this is a great opportunity to connect with the local people (and enjoy delicious home-cooked meals!).

Your visit to Hoi An includes a bicycle tour of the surrounding countryside. The ride isn’t strenuous, but you will need a basic level of fitness to take part.

Lots of time allocated for optional activities means freedom, flexibility and unexpected delights, but it does require a level of independence. Be sure to budget a little extra for your chosen activities, with plenty of suggestions from your leader of course!

This Vietnam discovery trip was a mix of home stays, countryside and city hotels visits and it incorporated all types of boat, bus, ferry and train travel. I’d highly recommend this trip to anyone that wants to see all of Vietnam in its a short couple weeks time.

The Viet Nam experience delves you into the heart of the Vietnamese culture and history moving from the bustling cities of Sai Gon and Hanoi to the delightful villages nestled in the picturesque mountains and coastal areas. Experience the warm hospitality of local home stays and much, much more! This is an EXPERIENCE!

Even though this tour says it's basic, it's not too basic and we were pretty comfortable. The trains are long but they are part of the experience. Just do it 10/10, changed my life

What a fantastic experience, Intrepid and in particular the tour leader, Ngang, made the holiday to Vietnam a happy and memorable life time experience.

Intrepid:s values as a responsible tour operator both on respect to environment but also in support of local charities was important to me.
The trp was the right mix of organised activities and free time and the tour leader was exceptional

The tour itself was fantastic, taking in a lot of Vietnam for a first time traveller. It is encouraging to see Intrepid supporting local charity organisations helping disadvantaged and disabled locals. Ngang (aka Jolie, our guide) was amazing. She was gracious, kind, funny, incredibly informative, and kept us all safe in that Vietnamese traffic. We had a small group of 7, so it was a lovely experience with plenty of laughs, and plenty of reasons to go back!
