Trip Informations
Encounter wildlife up close and personal on a voyage to the Galapagos Islands for an experience like no other. On this 10-day adventure, you’ll spend seven nights cruising around the islands, snorkelling with sea lions, white-tipped reef sharks, sea turtles and penguins. Look to the skies in North Seymour or Caleta Bucanero to spot boobies, pelicans and other seabirds soaring above. Wander across the volcanic landscapes of Punta Espinosa and see land iguanas and flightless cormorants. A paradise for nature-lovers, you’ll discover the beauty of the Galapagos all with a naturalist guide by your side to show you the way.
Why you’ll love this trip
verified
Hop aboard your vessel, Le Grande Daphne, and sail through the naturally beautiful landscapes of the Galapagos, all with a handy naturalist guide by your side.
verified
Hike, snorkel, sleep, repeat – this isn’t your average adventure cruise! You’ll have daily walks and hikes followed by snorkelling excursions to spot marine life and corals – the best way to cool off.
verified
Explore the remote west coast of Isabela on a small panga boat and venture to the far-west Fernandina – home of the highest density of marine iguanas.
verified
Encounter the unique Galapagos wildlife in their natural habitat, from giant blue-footed and masked boobies, pelicans and frigate birds to iguanas, sea lions and turtles.
verified
Walk varied landscapes among towering cacti, rocky cliffs, red-sand beaches, volcanic grounds and immersive sea coves.
Is this trip right for you?
verified
This trip involves lots of active adventure, and we ask that you read through the itinerary carefully to ensure that it is right for you. You’ll need to feel comfortable with the included activities and with moving about the boat. The cabins and communal areas of the boat are spread over three decks, and the steps between the decks are steep.
verified
A Zodiac boat (panga) is sometimes necessary to reach small islets, coves, and prime snorkelling spots. You must be comfortable climbing in and out of one during wet and dry landings.
verified
The waters of the Galapagos are generally calm and serene. However, there is always the possibility of choppy water at sea. Steady sea legs (and a sturdy stomach) will be needed when walking around the boat during bad weather. Rain or shine, your trusty crew will always be on hand to assist you.
verified
Things are never set in stone when you’re travelling on island time. A sense of humour and flexibility will ensure a fun, relaxing trip through this beautiful part of the world, no matter what happens. While the crew will do their best to follow the itinerary, variations may occur due to weather or under the direction of local authorities.

Highly recommend travelling on the Grand Daphne on the NW islands itinerary (incl Fernandina). A real trip of a lifetime - the boat is amazing, food fantastic, our Guide Jacinto was excellent, and the natural beauty of the Galapagos incredible. A great itinerary, well worth doing (if you like snorkeling!).

Our 8d trip to the Galapagos
Aboard the Grand Daphne w intrepid was one of the best of our life. I went e my 19 y o daughter and traveled with 9 other people around pristine islands with constant wild life encounters. The intrepid naturalist was so knowledgeable and kind and made our trip smooth and unforgettable. We swam w sea lions, and penguins, and marine iguanas. Saw tortoises and all manner of birds. Had breathtaking views and hikes while spending time w wonderful new friends w a love for nature. All while sleeping on a world class boat and eating fresh, healthy, excellently prepared food. And learning about the wild Galapagos.

Absolutely fantastic trip of a lifetime. Jacinto our guide was amazing and the whole crew in board the Grand Daphne were brilliant. Food was fantastic and the chefs worked small miracles to cater for all the food requirements in the group. 10/10 would go again!

My partner and I have taken several trips with different travel groups, and they've all been great, but our trip with Intrepid to Galapagos was AMAZING!!!! The guide was informed, enthusiastic, and took care of us all. The boat was clean and comfortable. The crew was outstanding. The food was delicious! And, the Galapagos is one of the most amazing experiences of my life. HIGHLY recommend this trip!!!!!

This trip was better than my wildest dreams. The boat was beautiful, Vicky kept everything so clean, the food by Dennis and Segundo was enough to make me want to stay on board alone, Gaby was so kind and incredibly hard working, Giovanny was great fun, Daniel kind, and though I had less to do with the rest of the crew, their hard work shined in every aspect, making the trip comfortable, enjoyable, and so much fun. Karla our guide cannot be praised enough, she is knowledgeable, an incredible photographer and warm, welcoming, knowledgeable and fun person, and made the trip even better. And of course, the wildlife, views and activities are epic. Do it. Go on the trip with Intrepid.
