Trip Informations
When it comes to encountering wildlife up close and personal, a voyage to the Galapagos Islands really is an experience like no other. Head underwater off Isla Santa Cruz, Bartolome or Isla Isabela and you'll be snorkelling with sea lions, white-tipped reef sharks, sea turtles and penguins. Look to the skies in North Seymour or Caleta Bucanero and you'll spot boobies, pelicans and more soaring above. Head out for a wander across the volcanic landscapes of Punta Espinosa and you'll see land iguanas and flightless cormorants. This 10-day sailing expedition through the central islands of the Galapagos is an adventure waiting to happen.
Why you’ll love this trip
Experience the benefits of small group travel aboard your vessel, M/Y Grande Daphne, sailing through the natural beauty of the Galapagos, day and night.
Explore the remote west coast of Isabela on a small panga boat, and venture to the far-west Fernandina, home of the highest density of marine iguanas.
Encounter the unique Galapagos wildlife in their natural habitat, from giant blue-footed and masked boobies, pelicans and frigate birds to iguanas, sea lions and turtles.
By travelling on this trip, you’ll learn about our Tuuur Foundation partner, The Galapagos Conservancy. Donations support their Women in Sustainable Entrepreneurship (WISE) program, providing capital for sustainability initiatives and empowering female entrepreneurs in the Galapagos. Tuuur will double the impact by dollar-matching all post-trip donations made to The Tuuur Foundation.
Is this trip right for you?
This trip involves lots of active adventure and we ask that you read through the itinerary carefully to ensure that this trip is right for you. You’ll need to feel comfortable with the included activities and with moving about the boat. The cabins and communal areas of the boat are spread over three decks and the steps between the decks are steep.
For getting to small islets, coves and prime snorkelling spots, it is sometimes necessary to use a Zodiac boat (panga). You will need to be comfortable climbing in and out of one during wet and dry landings.
The waters of the Galapagos are generally calm and serene. However, there is always the possibility of choppy water at sea. Steady sea legs (and a sturdy stomach) will be needed when walking around the boat during bad weather. Rain or shine, your trusty crew will always be on hand to assist you.
Things are never set in stone when you’re travelling on island time. A sense of humour and flexibility will ensure you have a fun, relaxing trip through this beautiful part of the world no matter what happens. While the crew will do their best to follow the itinerary, variations may occur due to weather or under direction from local authorities.

Amazing Galapagos adventure! The yacht accomodations, cuisine and crew were all top notch. The frequent snorkels were the clear highlights of the trip, interacting with sea turtles, sea lions, iguanas and sharks. Don't miss the underwater world of the Galapagos!

Jacinto Carrion is an amazing naturalist and team leader. The trip to the Galapagos Islands was amazing and each day got better and better. I had no idea how little I knew about conservation, the geography, sustainability, wildlife... every member of crew made sure was a "once in a lifetime" trip.

I have no hesitation in recommending this excellent cruise. The snorkelling and walks were fantastic. We saw and learned a lot. Service on board was impeccable. Food was good. This trip could easily be enjoyed by anyone between 20 and 70 years of age. It was also environmentally sound. Amazing.

We didn't need wetsuits to see the amazing wildlife in the water and out. Our guide Jacinto was patient, helpful, knowlegable and made sure we all had a great time snorkelling and trecking and shared his gopro footage with us. I was worried about sharks, erupting volcanoes and the SOE in Equador, and was cautious in Quito but all was fine.
