Is this trip right for you?

You’ll need to carry your bags on and off local trams and trains. The distances aren't far, and it's possible to do this with a wheelie bag – but be aware of cobblestone streets.

This trip uses a combination of public and private transport. All vehicles are modern and have air-conditioning, and most are fitted with seat belts. Some journeys are long to maximise the areas visited, but this gives you a chance to interact with the locals and see more of the country. Plus, there'll be plenty of stops to stretch your legs.

This is a relatively fast-paced trip that will allow you to see the highlights of Turkey in a short period. Since there's very limited time in Istanbul, we highly recommend spending more time in this incredible city. Please consult with your booking agent if you wish to book extra accommodation before or after the trip in Istanbul.

I reccommend Intrepid Travel as a company to travel with and the Turkey Highlights tour was fantastic. Our guide had excellent knowledge of the areas we visited and we got to experience alot in a short time.

What a wonderful tour! It was jam packed and go go go, but an incredible way to see the beauty of Türkiye in a short amount of time. Highly recommend!

Turkey was very enjoyable with friendly polite and helpful people, sweet well behaved children too, livening up Intrepid’s great itinerary of historical sights such as tragic Gallipoli, romantic Troy and amazing Ephesus. The hot air balloon ride in Cappadocia was simply wonderful (our first time was in Luxor last October). We found it better organised with a safety drill and precision landing on a truck, not to mention complimentary snacks and drinks. Enjoyed the Kaymakli underground city and Love Valley walk too. Surprised and disappointed however to find out on our first day of tour that Hagia Sophia was relegated to optional activities expected to do it yourself (we could’ve done it the previous day) though very easily done from our well located hotel near Karakoy tram stop which we did on our last morning before flying back to London. Indeed all the hotels were in excellent locations with good breakfasts though I wish one or two hot Turkish chicken, lamb and fish dishes had been included. My wife and I are both 77 though pretty fit taking daily walks and I’d recommend this memorable must do tour.

Intrepid is a very reputable tour company, not only in Vietnam but globally. When I chose Intrepid, I knew it was the right choice, as the saying goes "You get what you pay for". Travelling with Intrepid, you won't have to worry about anythings; as long as you have the money, Intrepid will take care of everything.

The Turkey Classic trip gave me all the places and sites I wanted to see in the short amount of time I had available. Our guide Özgür was amazing. Turkey has way more to offer so take extra time if you can.

This trip was amazing! A life changing experience! The country of Turkey and its people have made a lasting impact on me.
My first Intrepid trip was beyond my expectations all in part to our great guide Özgür. His organization, care for the group and love for the places we went, shined through.
There was a lot to see in a little amount of time, but I never felt that it was too much.

This is a fast-paced but fascinating insight into Turkey - its rich culture, history and traditions. The accommodations are all great, transfers all well planned, people very welcoming. Our leader Kaan was incredibly helpful and flexible, making sure that we got the most out of the experience.
We travelled with a great bunch of people, as always with an Intrepid trip and we got to understand the benefits of our visit to the local community - great to see the value of responsible travel.
The ballon ride in Cappadocia was incredible - a real highlight of the trip.
Highly recommend.
