An área of China often neglected by travellers in favour of the better known sites, but it has its own charm and interests. Then there’s the amazing train journey through to Ulaanbaatar!

This trip ticked a couple of boxes for me. I saw Inner Mongolia, a more remote part of China, free of tourists. I got a chance to use Mongolian railway system, which was adventurous. And enjoyed stunning beauty of Mongolia itself. So, all in all great experience.

This trip offers a true taste of Mongolia, with unforgettable nights in traditional yurts and breathtaking views of vast landscapes and endless blue skies. It's nature at its purest and most stunning.

The Chinese part of this trip is rather underwhelming. It is too similar to a mass tourism group trip where you are taken from one point ot the next. The Mongolian part of the trip however, is superb - just what I have come to expect from Intrepid (this was my seventh trip with this company).

Would not reccommend; over promised and under delivered! No value for money at all.
Ger camp was beautiful however that’s where it starts and ends.
