By travelling on this trip, you’ll learn about our Tuuur Foundation partner, World Animal Protection. Is this trip right for you?
verified
Prepare for hot and sticky temperatures during the day, but cooler climates in the evening. Layers are the best way to tackle this. Be sure to also drink plenty of water and use sun protection.
verified
You and your family will visit several temples on this trip, which means covering up arms and shoulders as per the local custom. A light scarf is a great idea for covering shoulders and arms when it’s hot.
verified
Your overnight train journey (Day 4) is quite long. Make the most of it by checking out the scenery and chatting with local travellers. There's nothing quite like waking up on a sleeper train in a new and exciting destination. While bedding is supplied some families choose to bring their own sleep sheets.

The family holiday was fantastic, a good mix of activities & enough space to not feel rushed. Kung was our guide, she was knowledgeable, helpful and quickly became part of the family! If you’re on the fence, definitely do it!
The community visit was my highlight, and thanks to kung the food was amazing!

A great holiday where someone else looks after all of the organisation. Elephants in Chiang Mai were a stand out - it was heartening to see the ethical practices implemented (such as not touching or washing elephants) and the reasoning behind this. We were able to get incredibly close, but still felt safe. The village nesr CHiang Dao was a wonderful opportunity to interact with people outside the cities. This trip has a nice mix of activities with some free time to relax or go exploring.

Having never taken a guided tour, I was a little nervous on how our trip would go, but Intrepid put together an amazing tour and I can't say enough good things for what my family and I were able to experience! I look forward to using Intrepid again!

This was the best family holiday we have ever had. If you are worried about travelling with other families then please do not let this put you off. We travelled with 2 other families and the kids got on so well with each other. The tour guide Ning was superb throughout and showed us things we would never have found on our own. The variety of experience was excellent. Thank you Ning
