Trip Informations
Spend three days dining, exploring and savouring the peaceful landscape of Maria Island National Park. Enjoy lazy mornings in the quiet Bernacchi heritage house before you choose your activity of the day. Active adventurers can summit the island’s peaks or coastal cliffs with local guides while the more laidback can take it easy with wombat and wallaby spotting or relaxing by the fire. Learn about the island’s penal history as you explore the convict site of Darlington, then return to the mainland after two nights of Tasmanian island hospitality.
Why you’ll love this trip
Spend time exploring the natural wonders of Maria Island while being treated to two nights and a fully inclusive meal and drinks package in the heritage-listed Bernacchi House.
Dine on three course dinners freshly prepared using Tasmanian produce and accompanied by local wines you can enjoy during the evenings’ starry entertainment.
Explore one of Tasmania’s UNESCO World Heritage sites, Darlington, with over 14 convict buildings and ruins dating back to 1825.
Wander the trails of Maria Island National Park, up to the summits of Bishop & Clerk or Mt Maria and out to the Painted Cliffs.
Share the landscapes with the many species that earn the island its nickname as Tasmania’s Noah’s Ark, including the Tasmanian Devil, wombats and wallabies.
