Trip Informations
Travel through South Africa and Eswatini (Swaziland), combining cultural and wildlife experiences. The tour starts with an introduction to South Africa’s most famous township, Soweto, before heading out into the wilderness. Once on the road you’ll stop at a Zulu village and experience activities such as hiking and kayaking before arriving at Kruger National Park for unbelievable wildlife watching.
Why you’ll love this trip
This trip visits a great spread of Southern African game reserves, putting you and your family right in the midst of the mighty 'Big Five' game of Africa
Camp at Kruger National Park under the African night sky. Experience the sights and sounds of the wild, perhaps the roar of a lion as you and your family drift off to sleep
A Zulu village tour introduces you and your family to a fascinating tribal culture. You might learn about anything from spear-making and bone-throwing to dancing and basket-weaving
Beautifully lit by candles and paraffin lanterns, your spacious campsite in Hlane National Park is just a stone's throw from a floodlit waterhole frequented by elephants and rhinos
Enjoy a guided hike at Blyde River Canyon, where the spectacular colours and shades of Bourke's Luck Potholes are a photographer's dream

Absolutely amazing! Highly recommend to anyone wanting to experience Africa in a safe way with like minded parents with teenagers. Our guide Shumba was 10/10, he had fun with us all and really made it the amazing experience that it was. Our Chef Andy was also exceptional and cooked both western food and also some African traditional food. You won’t regret booking this trip!

This trip was fantastic for our family. We all made new friends, learnt a lot about the areas we visited, saw heaps of animals and saw lots of South Africa and eswatini. Eswatini is a highlight for its rhino’s particularly. Kruger NP is exceptional! Two in the family are coeliac and we were catered for very well. Woolies & Picknpay also have lots of gluten free snacks. Thanks to Jean, Enock and Bogani for make this trip so special. We miss you already!

We loved this trip - a safe and easy way of seeing lots of places in a relatively short period. Our kids got on really well with the other teenagers on the trip. And Nolo’s cooking was amazing! Would definitely recommend this safari experience.

Our trip to South Africa with Intrepid was truly a once in a lifetime experience. We travelled with our two daughters and the experiences they had are unforgettable. It was truly an adventure. Camping next to wildlife, the vastness of the national parks with diverse wildlife, the people and food have to be experienced to truly appreciate. We are thankful to have chosen Intrepid to take us on this journey.
