No two journeys in Africa are identical. There will be many early starts either to make use of the better safari time or to beat the morning traffic on long travel days. Be prepared for travel times to be longer or shorter than advised. Weather and road conditions can change things significantly, so embrace the detours, shortcuts, and unforgettable moments along the way.

This is an overland trip. That means you’ll be travelling with a group in a purpose-built vehicle, visiting remote communities, setting up your tent, occasionally roughing it in the bush with no facilities, and getting the best possible views of iconic African wildlife. For more info on this style of travel, see our Africa overland page at tuuur.com/africa/overland.

The Serengeti Trail was a life-changing trip for me and I will look back on this tour very fondly.
To say that I was spoilt on this tour is an understatement. The Safari game drives were incredible and I got to see all the wildlife extremely close up including a male lion and 2 leopards sitting in a tree.
I highly recommend this tour to anyone who is budget conscious and it is a dream of theirs to go on an African Safari tour.

The Serengeti trail was an excellent tour for seeing African animals in the wild.. Also not too long but we saw every animal possible. The tenting was ok but a week was enough although upgrades were available. A very reasonable safari and saw everything you would expect on any safari. The last day relaxing by the pool was great as well to wind down.

The Serengeti Trail was my 1st ever solo adventure and my 1st with Intepid.
I couldn't rate this company more they give back to the local communities aswell as feeding our minds with knowledge along the way. A Safari has always been my dream and luckily enough with the 3 days in Serengeti camping under the same stars you hear the lions roaring through the night was a very pinch me moment, we saw every animal I came to see along with a Pride of Lions with a kill, Leopard mum and her babies , baby lion cubs and hearts and heads of elephants walking past our truck we was spoilt with animals and feel very blessed and lucky to be so up close and personal with them, the ranger driver was always ready to pull up so we could get our pictures and attentive to what we would like to see aswell as keeping us safe.
The food ! Well it was just so amazing every meal got better and better ! The crew help out so much with camping and helping throughout my trip. Honestly just a trip of a lifetime for me and I can't wait to book my next one !!

This trip was great. The crew were great. But before you do book, ensure you read ALL THE TRIP NOTES.
Come to Africa with an open mind. You're not at home & respect the home of where you're travelling.

A wonderful and well organised trip where I got to see lots of beautiful scenery and animals, especially in the Ngorongoro Conservation area. Daniel the cook was fantastic and looked after us all very well throughout our trip with scrumptious food at every meal. Would highly recommend this trip.

It was a wow moment and experienced to see animals up close. Anything I hope to see, I saw. Alex did an excellent job on spotting the animals. His prior knowledge really benefited the group. We had a great group, felt like a family trip, everyone was helping each other. Amos our driver is great and always greeted us with his big smiles, guarding our belongings, and
Solomon did amazing jobs on whipping many different cuisines and plentiful to go for second and third, think I gained a few lbs. highly recommended this trip. Amazing trip, amazing crews, and lovely group.

This trip was simply incredible. The staff are top top quality. Approachable, knowledgeable and always in a good mood. You cover a lot of ground on this trip, and there isn't a lot of down time, so that is important to know. I'm very glad I went on it!
