No two journeys in Africa are identical. There will be many early starts either to make use of the better safari time or to beat the morning traffic on long travel days. Be prepared for travel times to be longer or shorter than advised. Weather and road conditions can change things significantly, so embrace the detours, shortcuts, and unforgettable moments along the way.

This is an overland trip. That means you’ll be travelling with a group in a purpose-built vehicle, visiting remote communities, setting up your tent, occasionally roughing it in the bush with no facilities, and getting the best possible views of iconic African wildlife. For more info on this style of travel, see our Africa overland page at tuuur.com/africa/overland.

This trip was simply incredible. The staff are top top quality. Approachable, knowledgeable and always in a good mood. You cover a lot of ground on this trip, and there isn't a lot of down time, so that is important to know. I'm very glad I went on it!

Through Royne, I understood the importance of this continent, certainly Kenya and Tanzania - because he comes from this culture, but when you listen and look him in the eye you really understand the importance of fighting for a world full of love and peace -.
It made me emotional ...it excites me to hear the sound of his laugh... I see SERIOUSNESS, responsibility and the desire to pass on to those who know him all the wisdom and maturity to do what tourists want but in an ethical way ... he is truly a person who is not only intelligent but also profound.
I see it as perfect for bringing the country also to a high-level political level, of important development for the culture of the country.

An amazing trip, Alexs knowledge, passion and awareness of both the environment and culture made an unforgettable experience. As long as you are okay sleeping in tents for a week it's amazing.

What a fantastic experience & made better with our guide Susan. Very well organised, food was delicious every day everything was well thought out and planned. Take USD cash for optional trips and room upgrades. Saw so many animals and it exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend this trip.
