We've sourced our accommodation very carefully and picked the best possible hotels in line with the Tuuur style of travel, but please note that service and accommodation in West Africa may differ from standards at home.
Ramadan is an annual month-long festival, during which travel can be a rewarding cultural experience. However, some regular services may not be available during the day, such as restaurants or cafes, and occasionally, travel can be disrupted by events. Your leader will adjust the itinerary accordingly, but please consider this when selecting your travel dates. You’ll find dates and further information in the ‘Climate and seasonal information’ section of the Essential Trip Information.

The Senegal/Gambia tour exceeded my expectations! As an inaugural tour (1st group), I was not sure what to expect and went with an open mind and patience. However, we were lucky to have an exceptional guide, Abou, who enabled us to have an almost flawless trip. I am so grateful for Abou's deep expertise of the culture, customs and workarounds. But I more so appreciate Abou's generous spirit and sense of humor--it's hard to teach that! Overall, the accommodations and itinerary of cultural sights were fantastic!

One of the best trips I’ve been to in my life. I’ve been to 60 countries in my life, and Abou is undeniably the best tour guide I’ve ever had! 10 stars out of 5! Must do trip in West Africa!
