Trip Informations
Take a scenic, nature-focused road trip from San Francisco to bustling Seattle on this nine-day adventure. Kick off your journey with a visit to a local oyster company, a fellow B Corp, where you can shuck your own oysters! Drive up the coast to see Glass Beach, the Avenue of Giants and Redwood National Park. After exploring these ancient wonders, discover Crater Lake, the most pristine lake on Earth, formed thousands of years ago. Take a breather in the popular wine region of Willamette Valley, then hit the groovy arts scene in Portland. Visit Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area, home to the stunning Multnomah Falls, then discover Olympic National Park with its moss forests and beaches with a forest of dead trees on the sand.
Why you’ll love this trip
Explore Redwoods National Park – home to some of the tallest and most ancient trees in the world – and discover gorgeous parklands, oak woodlands, condors and the Avenue of Giants drive.
Visit a fellow B Corp and have a go at shucking your own Tomales Bay oysters – then enjoy a scenic picnic lunch where you can eat the fruits (oysters) of your labour.
Walk along the rim of Crater Lake National Park – this natural wonder was formed 7700 years ago from the collapse of a mountain peak and is now the deepest lake in the USA fed by rain and snow.
Head to the USA’s best wine region for Pinot Noir – Willamette Valley – and enjoy a wine tasting at a local winery in the valley, with gorgeous views of sprawling vineyards, hills and forest.
Wander around natural areas that will inspire awe – like the cascades of Multnomah Falls near Portland and the peaceful Hoh Rainforest in Olympic National Park.
By travelling on this trip, you’ll learn about our Tuuur Foundation partner, the Grand Canyon Conservancy. Donations help them protect Grand Canyon National Park and support trail restoration, conservation of native plants and wildlife, and educational programs. Tuuur will double the impact by dollar-matching all post-trip donations made to The Tuuur Foundation.
