Trip Informations
Why you’ll love this trip
Experience Fa'a Samoa (The Samoan Way) – this phrase refers to the Samoan culture and traditions that influence the lives of many local people – with a local leader by your side to give you all the insights.
Explore Vavau village for an immersive cultural day with the locals. Watch an ava (welcome) ceremony, then be treated to songs and dance while you feast on traditional foods.
Visit the gorgeous sandy beaches of Vavau and Lalomanu and go snorkelling and swimming at the Giant Clam Sanctuary, teeming with starfish, tropical fish and coral.
Discover Samoan culture through storytelling and legend – visit Fafao o SaoAli'l (the Passage of the Afterlife), Giant Moso's Footprint, the Star Mounds (one of Samoa’s most sacred places) and the remains of the Virgin's grave.
Immerse yourself in local culture and be treated to song, dance and performance – you'll attend a Fa’ataupati (slap dance) and fire knife dancing night. On Sunday morning, attend a local church service led by a choir, followed by a traditional Sunday feast.
Is this trip right for you?
There are some water-based activities included in this trip. You will get the most out of this trip if you are a competent and confident swimmer. If you are not so confident, we recommend that you bring a life jacket from home to allow you to still participate safely.
The accommodation for this trip is not at luxury beach resorts, but is at simple, comfortable locally owned accommodation. Hot water may not be consistently available, so you should expect some cold showers. WiFi is also not widely accessible, and a local SIM will need to be purchased to have consistent internet access.
Itinerary
Explore a beachside paradise in Samoa

Samoa has beautiful scenery and beaches even on our bus drives the picturesque scenery would certainly have us in awe. You were felt very welcomed by all there. Our very talented bus driver Kiti & our enthusiastic guide Don certainly contributed to our experience with their stories and knowledge we felt we got to learn so much about the Samoan culture

Samoa is breathtaking and culturally rich. It is potentially not the easiest to navigate solo so I’m incredibly grateful for this trip. Our guide Don and driver Kiti made it unforgettable. Their knowledge, enthusiasm and warmth brought the country to life. I’ve never had such engaging and engaged guides.

This tour exceeded my expectations in every way. We were able to see and do things that I would have never experienced on my own. I think this is the best way to visit Samoa. Highly recommend.

Samoa is a simple and relaxing experience. The natural beauty of the ocean and of course the To Sua trench in Samoa is nothing short of incredible. Sometimes, being disconnected from back home, enjoying the clear waters, and feeling the tranquil island vibe is what you need to recharge. Such an easy trip from Aus/NZ – bring what you need from home, be prepared for the itinerary to change, embrace yourself in island time and you are good to go.

If you looked up paradise in the dictionary, I reckon you'd find Samoa there. Pristine watering holes, the loveliest of people, and hardly another tourist groups in sight. I left this trip feeling like my cup was full. A total gem of a destination, and a gem of a trip.

Ado & Chen were amazing tour leaders. This trip showed Samoa at its finest with the perfect blend of time to relax and time to explore. The accomodation is what you expect in a developing country, but this does not take away from the spectacular scenery and friendly people. Loved this trip.
