Trip Informations
If you’re craving a laidback getaway full of coastal vistas, this eight-day adventure aboard a catamaran might be calling your name. With an experienced skipper, sail between the lesser-known islands of Skiathos, Skopelos and Alonnisos, seeing the Greek Islands from a new perspective. Enjoy the comfort of your private yacht, spending your days sailing and stand-up paddleboarding in the National Marine Park of Sporades, home to dolphins and monk seals. Spend your nights watching the sunset over calm waters and taking advantage of free time to seek out local tavernas for deliciously fresh cuisine and a glass of the local vino. Yiamas!
Why you’ll love this trip
Set sail on a comfortable catamaran yacht with your experienced skipper navigating the route and an onboard host who will prepare breakfast and lunch each day.
Feast on delicious traditional food at local tavernas during your free evenings on the islands – if there’s one thing that Greece is known for other than the sun and sand, it’s the fresh cuisine.
Sail past the iconic church of Agios Ioannis, made famous by Mamma Mia, during your ventures to the remote parts of the archipelago.
Observe the elusive Mediterranean monk seal and the many dolphins that call the National Marine Park of Sporades home – as you relax in the catamaran’s onboard net, the dolphins may be swimming beside you!
Swim, stand-up paddleboard and snorkel as you hop between lively port towns and remote islands, where only a handful of fisherman or monks wander.
Is this trip right for you?
The majority of this trip takes place on a sailing boat, so you’ll need to feel comfortable moving about the vessel, including using the stairs. With that said, sea legs come naturally to some but not so much for others – it's recommended that you bring sea sickness medication just in case.
As this is a sailing trip, the itinerary is dependent on the weather. Sometimes, amendments will need to be made. Your experienced skipper and trip leader will always find the best alternative places to stop, including beautiful beaches and secluded bays, and can recommend great locally run restaurants.
Our yachts have a small Zodiac on board, used to transport travellers to shore if we need to anchor in the bay. However, we will most often overnight in the small marinas on each island we visit, so the Zodiac isn’t used often. Zodiacs can sometimes be awkward to climb in and out of, but a sense of humour and a can-do attitude are all you need.
This is an adventure on board a real yacht, which means living spaces, cabins, bathrooms and showers need to be shared with other passengers. Sleeping quarters can be quite compact, but you will be spending the majority of your time above board in the open air.
Time on the water also means time in the sun. Remember to pack sun protection, such as sunscreen and a hat, and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. See the Essential Trip Information for a full packing list.
On your trip, the skipper will move the boat using the sails and motor. Occasionally, they will need to use the motor for the whole trip. This choice is weather-dependent, so is unpredictable, but our expert skippers will keep you updated on any necessary itinerary changes. They love to sail and will raise the sails at every opportunity.

What an amazing trip, always felt at ease in the hands of our fantastic skipper Fotis. We saw wonderful places, swam everyday, snorkelled used paddle boards. The food prepared by Cami and Fotis was outstanding, better than any restaurant. A truly life enriching experience. Thank you Cami and Fotis you were exceptional.

Well organised trip. Relaxing, plenty of down time. Nikos was so knowledgeable and approachable. Laura was lovely and the range and variety of food was seriously impressive. If you're after a chilled week away with plenty of time to swim, read, go out in the evenings then this is for you.

Sailing is the best way to experience the very best of the Greek Islands This trip was so well paced , giving us plenty of time to swim in the most amazing bays, that very few people get to experience. We stopped in small ports which I wouldn’t have otherwise experienced.Fotis was an excellent knowledgeable skipper, whose whole attitude was that of giving you a safe fun sailing trip whilst being an excellent guide to providing a Greek experience that is authentic. Cammy, our host, made delicious healthful Greek cuisine

To the best skipper ever Fotis and the sweetest hostess Cami, thank you for a fantastic 8 day journey on a twin hulled catamaran ride that was so smooth with no tilt that caused no motion sickness. With plenty of space to move around. Fotis is an exceptional skipper due to his profound expertise, calm demeanour and friendly personality. His deep knowledge and expertise of the waters instilled a profound sense of safety and contentment. Returning on Saturday with memories of enchanting islands that exceeded our expectations. Choosing the best part of the trip would be like choosing a favourite breath. Each island had its own magic. Fotis knew the coast line like the back of his hand. Every restaurant recommendation and hidden port that was shown to us was spot on. Cami made us food better than anything we ate in restaurants. Every meal was beyond delicious, and the presentation was out of this world. And every single time with a smile. Could not want anything else. Perfection.

The most incredible trip experiencing less discovered Greek islands with the highlight being the National Marine Park!!! If you have the opportunity to be lead by Fotis and Cami, you (and your tummy) are in for an absolute treat. Fotis is the best skipper ever! Together himself and Cami our hostess were faultless: responsible, knowledgeable, incredible company and truly cares about sailing, the destinations and wanting to responsibly show each place whilst respecting the locals and location. Fotis is incredibly experienced as a skipper so he was also able to take us to so many secret beaches, bays and swim spots that didn’t even have a name on google maps!!! They’re also both excellent cooks so you’re in for a FEAST. The food was sensational and prepared with so much love!! Fotis also gave excellent local recommendations with activities, restaurants and things to do. Couldn’t have asked for a better tour leader and hostess! Thank you Fotis and Cami! We already can’t wait to be back sailing with Intrepid because of this experience and to come back to the Sporades!!

The is the best trip ever. I got my day skipper licence a couple of weeks before the trip and Fotis, the skipper, made sure he explained what he was doing so I learn how a catamaran works. The hostess, Cami, was cooking delicious and healthy food every day, making us feel like home and full of energy for the swim ahead. Both of them made us feel we are in good hands and comfortable. We toured 7 islands in 7 days, swimming in the most pristine, clean and hidden beaches and waters possible. This is the experience of a lifetime, so I can’t recommend this trip and these Intrepid skipper and hostess enough. Top marks all around and a testament to the fact that if you join this trip you will get spoilt! Bonus points for making a solo traveller like myself feel so welcomed (even though our group was also amazing).

This trip has been amazing! Fotis is a great leader, extremely passionate with Greece, was sharing with us interesting cultural and culinary facts of his country. Cami a great host, pampering us with great food. The Sporades a very nice surprise. On top of all of this, the boat was comfortable, a lot of space both in the shade and in the sun (we were 7 guests). By the end of the 8 days I just wanted to restart everything again . I would recommend this trip without doubts!

Absolutely loved this trip. Footis, Camilla and the whole crew were amazing, especially the cooking. I felt completely relaxed from start to finish. The group was fantastic, the catamaran was beautiful and the big shady space was perfect. Ideal even if you are not a boat person. A proper mental reset!
