Don’t let the heat keep you from exploring the world! Summer temperatures can be extremely high in Morocco (over 40°C), so it’s important to use sun protection, wear layers to combat the heat and drink plenty of water.

As Morocco has a tipping culture, travellers are expected to tip small amounts for most services, so please be prepared. Your trip leader and the 'Money Matters' section of our Essential Trip Information will help to provide you with some suggestions as to what amounts are appropriate.

Although you shouldn’t expect any aggressive selling techniques in Morocco, please be aware that you may be approached by shop owners and street vendors offering their goods to you on regular occasions.

We've sourced our accommodation very carefully and picked the best possible hotels in line with the Tuuur style of travel, but please note that service and accommodation in Morocco may differ from Western standards. You’ll spend one night in a basic desert camp with shared facilities and no electricity.

Important notes
verified
1.The bus will depart at 8 am sharp. Please arrive at the meeting place at least 15 min prior to departures to be able to finalize boarding.
verified
2. Your desert camp is a simple affair, with bedding and basic toilet facilities provided. The blankets provided are usually sufficient for most travellers between April and October, but you may like to bring your own sleeping bag for extra warmth, especially between November and March.
verified
3. There’s no electricity at the campsite, so it’s important to come prepared with fully charged phones, cameras and everything else you may need.
verified
4. On this trip you must pack as lightly as possible because you will be expected to carry your own bag and although you won't be required to walk long distances with your luggage, we strongly recommend keeping the weight around 15kg / 33lb. Most travellers carry their luggage in a backpack. Smaller bags or backpacks with wheels are convenient although we recommend your bag has carry straps to accommodate the cobbled streets, uneven surfaces, stairs and steps you are likely to encounter while carrying your luggage. We also recommend a day pack/bag to carry water and a camera etc.
verified
5. Your arrival back in Marrakech will be, depending on traffic, between 8 or 9 pm on your last day. If you have to fly out on this day please don't book a flight earlier than midnight.

The 3 day tour of Morroco is a fast paced trip with quite a bit of travelling. This is easily absorbed by watching the passing countryside and seeing some of what the country has to offer.

Great trip highly recommend. Lots of time on the bus. But it’s worth it to cross the Atlas Mountains and spend a night in the Sahara

I can really recommend this mini Sahara adventure, you will spent many hours on the road, but it's worth it.

A fantastic trip that really didn’t feel like 3 days. Great stops along the way to break up the driving and an incredibly friendly group of people to do it with. This was easily the highlight of my time in Morocco and I’m forever grateful I got to do it.
I felt well and truly looked after and would recommend as an accessible way to see the desert

Would highly recommend the Mini Sahara tour! We got to see so much of beautiful Morocco and the Sahara. The guides were great, professional, friendly and knowledgeable, and we learned so much about the beautiful places we visited. Additionally, there was a lot of support for local initiatives. Would recommend!

What a memorable experience this was. An amazing trip full of so much activity, local culture and delicious food. As a solo female traveller I felt completely safe throughout. I met some incredible people who I will definitely keep in touch with, and I learned so much about Morocco from our brilliant guide Hamou. This trip is a must do if you are visiting Marrakech. Affordable, fun-filled and memorable. Thank you Intrepid for making my first tour such an exciting one! I can’t wait for the next!

A wonderful and exciting short trip through the Atlas Mountains and edge of the Sahara. Our guide Hamou was exceptionally knowledgeable about so many aspects of life in the regions we visited and I felt I could ask him anything! A walk through the magnificent Todra gorge and lunch in a small family run orchard was a highlight.

This trip is for everyone not having a lot of time to spend in Morocco but still wants to see most of the country’s culture, nature and people. Intrepid as a platform is a great way to discover and to meet people you call friends after even such short trip into the desert.
