Why you’ll love this trip
Prepare yourself for one very memorable night out in the Thar Desert, where you’ll share a feast at sunset and bunk down to camp between the sand dunes under a blanket of desert stars.
Witness one of the Seven Wonders of the World – the Taj Mahal. Take your time here, taking in the majesty of this manmade wonder and learn all there is to know from a local guide.
Visit a local family in Bikaner for a cooking demonstration of regional delights, like chai and chapati. As you get to know the woman and her daughters, you’ll pick up some tips and tricks, try them out for yourself, then sit down for dinner together.
Get an insight into local, rural life at your homestay in Khinwara – life here is slow paced, so this is the perfect chance to stop and take a moment to relax.
See Delhi from a new perspective on a bicycle rickshaw ride through the chaotic streets of this epic city. Take in the beauty of Jama Masjid and rub shoulders with the locals in Sheeshganj Gurudwara, where all are welcome despite religion, caste or gender.
Is this trip right for you?
This trip is built for travellers who like a mix of free time and included activities. As such, there will be loads of opportunities to tailor your trip how you like. Please consider spending money for optional sightseeing (including transport to and from sights) and any activities you want to do.
You’ll cover a lot of distance in this vast country, which involves some long bus and train rides. Sleeper trains are also a great way to travel long distances while still getting maximum time in each place. Beds are padded berths with sheets, pillow and blanket provided (although some people prefer to bring their own sleeping sheet). You may be in the same carriage with locals of the same or opposite gender. For your own security, take a lock for your hand luggage. What a trip! The Real Rajasthan trip was truly unforgettable. Parul, our tour leader, was absolutely amazing—knowledgeable, organised, and always supportive. Her enthusiasm and attention to detail made the experience smooth and memorable. This trip was my first time in India, and it was an incredible experience I’ll never forget!

An amazing two weeks - wouldn't want my first trip to India to have been done any differently! Doing the group tour allowed us to meet fantastic new friends, and relying on our amazing tour leader Shubhi made all the logistics so much less stressful than travelling alone. Would definitely recommend.

The real rajasthan trip was absolutely phenomenal, I know my love for India stems from the phenomenal hospitality and grace of my guide Shubi. She went above and beyond to make the trip memorable- including organising up the most phenomenal birthday surprises. I cannot thank her and intrepid enough.

I could not recommend this tour more! Rajasthan is such an incredible region with great food, beautiful cities, temples, forts and palaces as well as a rich, interesting history and culture. Our group leader Abhimanyu was exceptional! I was nervous travelling to India as a solo female and he made me feel safe the entire time! His knowledge of Rajasthan was extensive and I learnt so much each day. I was fortunate enough to be on the tour during Diwali (31 Oct - 1 Nov) and would highly recommend booking for this time! There were fireworks for a whole week and fairy lights everywhere! We got to have a traditional celebration at a family home in Pushkar where we were dressed in Saree’s and ate a delicious home cooked meal! It was such a special experience!

This trip was amazing! It was a perfect blend of travel and leisure. Our tour guide - Abhimanyu - was very knowledgable on the history and culture of the areas. He always made sure we were comfortable and safe in our activities and places to eat. I couldn’t imagine a better tour leader.
