An excellent exploration of a fascinating country, made even better by our wonderful tour guide, Zafar.
Just one thing didn’t reach the standard of the rest of the trip, the hotel in Bukhara was of markedly inferior quality to the rest of the accommodation.

Standing in the footsteps of Alexander the Great and Ghangis Khan is like being in living history. The brilliance of colour on the terracotta in the setting sun in Khiva is a sight to behold. Uzbekistan is an undiscovered jewel box.

This trip to Uzbekistan surpassed my expectations. A lot of ground was covered in a comparatively short amount of time. It was very well organised and led, with just the right amount of information given about the places visited. Accomodation was very comfortable and transport good. One recommendation I would make is that, because the programme is quite full and involved several early starts, anyone booking on it may want to consider adding a day or two extra at the end. I didn’t but in retrospect should have done, in order to explore some of the museums in Tashkent. If you want to discover this part of the world I highly recommend this trip
