The Silk Road has held a fascination for me for many years and finally I got to experience Uzbekistan with its mesmerising and long history. Lochin our tour leader was amazing; a font of knowledge, calm, approachable, reliable and honest. The trip exceeded my expectations thanks to Lochin and Intrepid.

Our guide Tulkin was the best, his knowledge of his country history and culture was outstanding and had great humour that was entertaining, he made me appreciate Uzbekistan all the more for it.

I recently returned from a Premium Uzbekistan Intrepid tour, in a group of nine. Our guide was Shahrizot. I have nothing but accolades about the tour as a whole, and about Shah as our guide. Our accommodation was in comfortable hotels, centrally located and with good amenities. Shah was well loved by the entire group - always there to help, and always with an interesting story or two about the places we visited. The two home-based cooking classes were very enjoyable. Above all, Uzbekistan is a dream-like place, graced by beautiful nature, architecture, genuinely nice people, and an amazingly rich culture.
