Is this trip right for you?
verified
The Rock Fortress – or Lion Rock – of Sigiriya is spectacular. However, those with a fear of (or even an aversion to) heights may wish to sit the excursion out. Scaling the rock involves walking up lots of rough, narrow steps and tight walkways.
verified
There are a couple of long travel days on this trip. Journeys may take up to five hours but are a great opportunity to get to know locals, fellow travellers and the diverse scenery.
verified
Some temples on this trip require your head to be uncovered when visiting. You can opt out of temple visits if this requirement doesn't suit you.

Excellent introduction to some of the highlights of Sri Lanka. A great mixture of nature, culture, local life and yummy food. The accomodations are beautiful. You'll want to bring socks for the Buddhist temples for your tender feet.

Myself and my husband joined an intrepid eight day tour of Sri Lanka, beginning at negombo and ending in Colombo. We had the best time with our group. The tour was fantastically well and professionally run. Our team leader Cham was extremely knowledgeable and made the tour a lot of fun. Would recommend 100%

The dedicatoon and commitment of our tour guide to making this the most interesting and informative tour was outstanding. He took the time to ensure that we experienced as much as possible the real Sri Lankan experience, whether that was the food, the people we met or the cultural heritage of the country. An excellent tour.

Discovered Sri Lanka’s rich agricultural heritage: watched traditional terracotta pot-making, learned ancient herb remedies, toured an innovative organic farm with biomass energy, and visited tea factories producing Orange Pekoe and Silver Tips. Savoured authentic Sri Lankan meals with up to 32 dishes, including traditional dhal and spicy curries.

We explored Sri Lanka’s highlights: sunrise at Sigiriya Lion Rock, cycling through Polonnaruwa’s ancient sites, an elephant safari at Hurulu, and the sacred Temple of the Tooth in Kandy. Enjoyed traditional meals, visited tea plantations, cruised Dutch canals spotting wildlife, and met our wonderful tour group.
