Trip Informations
Explore Croatia’s Dalmatian coast on an eight-day Premium adventure from Split to Dubrovnik. Uncover the history embedded in Split’s cobblestoned streets on a walking tour with a local guide, visit the charming coastal town of Orebic and trace the historic city walls of Dubrovnik. Along the way, head off the beaten track into the Dalmatian Hinterland to see this beautiful country from a different angle – be immersed in local life in the town of Imotski when you try a traditional Peka meal and soak up scenic views from a fortress at sunset while sipping on local wine. Bursting with culinary delights and cultural wonders, Croatia’s bountiful coast has it all.
Why you’ll love this trip
Spend two nights in Santa Lucia Heritage Hotel – your Feature Stay in Split, located in the popular Pjaca (also known as the People’s Square), featuring a terrace and a secret garden.
Venture off the beaten path to the town of Imotski, set in the Dalmatian Hinterland. Visit 13th-century Topana Fortress and take in sunset views of the countryside while sipping on local wine, snacking on local produce and listening to live music.
Get to know Split and Dubrovnik when you join knowledgeable local guides on walking tours around the highlights. See the ancient Diocletian's Palace, stop at Game of Thrones filming locations and try popular street foods like soparnik (savoury pie).
Visit the famed Trsteno Arboretum – a Premium Experience – then have brunch at a family-owned farm, presented by a renowned Croatian chef. Tuck into local cuisine and take in views of the Elaphiti Islands and the Adriatic Sea.
Take a daytrip to the island of Korcula. Uncover the Old Town with a local guide, see traditional costumes, have a go at mosaic-making and visit a family-run winery for lunch and a wine tasting.
Is this trip right for you?
Croatia’s coast is very hilly and mountainous, meaning many steps are an inherent feature of the landscape. Also, stone streets become slippery when wet, so good walking shoes are recommended.
Summer temperatures can be extreme in Croatia (over 40°C), which can be uncomfortable. It’s important to use sun protection, wear layers to combat the heat and drink plenty of water. Please carefully consider the time of the year you wish to travel and your suitability to that season.
