Trip Informations
Why you’ll love this trip
Experience the best of Rome in a day with a trip to all the major sites, including the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, Piazza Navona and the Colosseum – one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
Spend two nights at your Feature Stay hotel in the rolling vineyards of Tuscany, complete with an outdoor pool. You’ll dine on gourmet cuisine at the onsite restaurant and spend some time wandering the grounds.
Explore a family-run winery and sample some world-class wine in the heart of Tuscany during a trip to the region of San Gimignano.
Visit the Galleria dell’Accademia in Florence – an art museum renowned for its collection of sculptures and home to the iconic statue of David by Michelangelo.
Wander Venice’s maze of canals and cobbled alleyways, full of artisan shops and eateries, and dine in a local restaurant for Venetian cuisine.
Is this trip right for you?
Summer temperatures can be extreme in this region (over 40°C), which can be uncomfortable. It’s important to use sun protection, wear layers to combat the heat and drink plenty of water. Please carefully consider the time of the year you wish to travel and your suitability to that season.
During your trip you will visit numerous religious sites. You will need to bring clothes that cover the shoulders and knees. A light scarf is a good idea for covering shoulders and arms when it’s hot. Your leader will be able to advise when such clothing is necessary.

The Premium Tuscany trip was incredible! Though we had a short amount of time at each destination, I do not feel that we missed out on anything. Our travel guide, Serena was phenomenal! She was extremely organized and communicated every step of the way. Her recommendations during our “free time” were also top notch. I highly recommend this itinerary of you want to see the sights, but have a limited time.

We very much enjoyed the Premium Tuscany tour. It was well organised and private transport saved time. The inclusions were extensive with many local guides. The tour covers most of the expected attractions but includes some interesting activities such as a visit to an aristocrats apartment in Rome. The accomodation is the usual 4 star European hotel standard (so don’t expect anything too grand), but the locations are generally central and well chosen. Relatively expensive compared with other Intrepid tours, but when you consider the number of inclusions, meals and private transport the cost is acceptable.

Had a fantastic time with our small group travelling through Tuscany with Giorgia. We had been to Rome, Florence and Venice before but there is always something new to appreciate. We have travelled Comfort level with Intrepid many times previously. I appreciated the more efficient transport with this Premium tour where we had our own minivan. I felt more relaxed and we had more time to explore each town rather than spend time on public transport. Having lunch with a prince in Rome was unique and memorable. Highly recommended

Magda always provided complete information before each destination, including meeting times, visit duration, recommended clothing and footwear, travel time between sites, and other relevant notes. She was great at connecting people in the group and consistently created a friendly, open, and comfortable atmosphere. She made our trip truly memorable and full of wonderful moments.
