I loved this trip! This was my third Intrepid trip, and my first Premium one. It provided a great balance of planned activity and free time—our free time allowed us to add a bit to a well-planned itinerary. Our guide, Gerardo, was awesome—knowledgeable, helpful, easygoing, friendly. Our group of 12 included people who were traveling together as well as solo travelers and we all enjoyed each other.

Maria was a FANTASTIC guide. She was not only very knowledgeable and organized, but also very kind and personable, with a great sense of humor. I had so much fun, learned more about Portugal, made new friends, and now I need to go back!

What a great week of discovering some of Portugal's highlights! Our guide Maria did a brilliant job of introducing us to this stunning country as well as the best Portuguese tarts I have ever tasted. It will definitely leave you wanting more, so my advice is to think about booking extra days in both Lisbon and Porto.

This was a great trip with a fantastic leader, Maria. Portugal is a beautiful country - I just wish the trip was longer! Be prepared for a lot of walking (well paced tho, so not an issue). Also as there is quite a bit of free time, it pays to do some research ahead, for things you might want to do.

My husband and I had a marvelous Intrepid Premium Portugal tour. We loved the country, the warm hospitable people, the history and the art. Our physical fitness improved with all the hill climbing. Our enthusiastic, knowledgeable and kind guide Maria is a great ambassador for Portugal, and I am happy to recommend her highly for the excellent atmosphere she promoted within our group of 11 diverse travellers.

My wife and I had agreste trip to Portugal and we were fortunate to have MARIA as our guide. She is very enthusiastic about Portugal and this is infectious. She is young and will improve as she gains experience. She did a very credible job with our group of 11 different tourists. She addressed
the difficulties and set out a plan to resolve them. She is held in very high respect by the lock guide in Coimbra who is an examiner of guide
S in Portugal. He is encouraging her to sit for her guide badge as her knowledge is beter than most guides.
I trust that Intrepid will also encourage her to further her career in tourism.
My wife and I also encouraged her to improve her qualifications..
and gave a plan of action for their resolution

We had a wonderful trip to Portugal in October with Intrepid. Daniel was our tour guide, and he did a fabulous job of managing all the details, getting us from place to place, sharing stories of his life, explaining the goal of Intrepid to leave little environmental footprint, and he was extremely knowledgeable of the country of Portugal and its history. His linguistics background further enriched our experience. I would recommend Intrepid and especially Daniel to anyone wanting to tour Portugal.
