Trip Informations
Discover a land of diversity and spirituality on this nine-day Premium adventure through Nepal. Lift the lid on daily life and traditional culture as you travel with an experienced local leader and get to know Nepal’s warm and wonderful people. Explore the energetic capital of Kathmandu, then travel to Pokhara, sitting beneath spectacular snow-capped peaks. Spend two nights in a jungle oasis, visit a Tibetan community and the indigenous Tharu community of the Terai plains, then search for endemic wildlife in Chitwan National Park. See the Himalayas and the Annapurna Range and take a special cooking class with a social enterprise that helps disadvantaged women in Nepal.
Why you’ll love this trip
Soak up wild surroundings during a two-night Feature Stay in a first-class jungle oasis on the banks of the Rapti River, opposite Chitwan National Park.
Get an intimate look at Nepali culture and cuisine during a cooking class celebrating the culinary traditions of the Kathmandu valley.
Visit a Tibetan community during a Premium Experience where you’ll learn about local life, enjoy a traditional cooking demonstration and sit down together for lunch.
See panoramic views of Himalayan peaks from Sarangkot Viewpoint and admire the Annapurna Range and Fishtail Mountain (Machhapuchhare).
Take an early-morning paddle in a dugout canoe on the Rapti River, where you’ll spot mugger crocodiles, riverbank birdlife, and if you’re lucky, a tiger emerging from the forest or grasslands.
Is this trip right for you?
The drive from Pokhara to Chitwan is on very windy roads as you climb up and down mountains. Be prepared for a lot of corners and don't forget to buckle up.
A moderate fitness level is required for the hike in Pokhara and walks in Chitwan National Park. This trip does not go to high altitude, so acclimatising will be relatively easy.
