Trip Informations
Journey through Kenya’s vast plains and wild grasslands on this seven-day Premium adventure, starting and ending in Nairobi. Visit the Elsamere Conservation Centre, take a boat trip on Lake Naivasha and look for your favourite safari animals on a 4WD adventure through Lake Nakuru National Park. Meet Maasai warriors and learn about their way of life at their traditional village, then spend three nights at your Feature Stay camp near the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. One special evening, enjoy sundowners and canapes, complemented by traditional dance performances and a moody bonfire. With immersive cultural experiences and iconic wildlife right on your doorstep, you’ll leave with plenty of memories (and a full camera roll!).
Why you’ll love this trip
Spend three unforgettable nights immersed in nature at your Feature Stay camp, with easy access to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. After a day of 4WD game drives, settle in for sundowners, light bites, traditional dance performances and a cosy bonfire.
Take in the vast plains and grasslands as you drive along the Great Rift Valley escarpment before stopping at Elsamere Conservation Centre, where you’ll learn the story of Elsa and the conservation trust over high tea.
Cruise along Lake Naivasha – the highest lake in the Great Rift Valley at 1884 m. During your boat trip, look out for thirsty hippos and an array of birdlife.
Be welcomed by traditional warrior song and dance into a local Maasai community known for championing Maasai women’s health and education. Your visit supports The Tuuur Effect by contributing to the tourism income that funds the community, allowing its important work to continue.
Travel through the heart of Lake Nakuru's National Park and look out for endangered black and white rhino on morning and afternoon 4WD game drives.
Is this trip right for you?
Purpose-built 4WD safari landcruisers are used for the duration of the trip.
This itinerary features some long travel days, which can be exacerbated by bumpy African roads. It is recommended that you pay close attention to the approximate travel times in the itinerary.
As the early bird catches the worm, the early camper sights the animals. There will be many early starts either to make use of the better safari time or to beat the morning traffic on long travel days.
