Why you’ll love this trip
Board a private yacht and take in Bali’s breathtaking southern coastline around Nusa Dua and the Bukit Peninsula as you watch the sunset and enjoy a delicious barbeque dinner.
Discover Java and Bali’s culture and traditions during exclusive activities like a Ramayana ballet and Balinese Legong dance performance, a storytelling lunch and a purification blessing.
Immerse yourself in the stories of the royal family and learn about Bali’s cultural traditions and royal family life as you dine on a meal fit for a king at a royal palace in Ubud.
Learn about local village life with village visits that include strolling through rice fields, learning about jewellery and crafts, and whipping up local specialties at an authentic cooking class.
Spend three nights at your tranquil Feature Stay – Ubud Village Hotel – surrounded by tropical foliage and the sound of birds. Located on Monkey Forest Road, this conveniently located oasis offers a perfect place to relax in the pool after long days exploring the sites and culture of Bali.
By travelling on this trip, you’ll learn about our Tuuur Foundation partner, Coral Triangle Center Foundation. Donations help expand their coral restoration project and support their educational outreach activities for local schools in Nusa Penida. Tuuur will double the impact by dollar-matching all post-trip donations made to The Tuuur Foundation.
Is this trip right for you?
To view mountain tops for sunrise, we must start very early! Your sunrise breakfast near Mt Batur will require a departure around 4:30 am. The view at sunrise is well worth the early wake-up, especially if the weather's fine!
A single supplement is available if you’d prefer not to share a room on this trip. The single supplement applies to all nights of your trip and is subject to availability. There are a limited number of single supplements available per trip departure. Please speak to your booking agent for further information.

Get to the heart of life on this famous archipelago by visiting rice paddies, beachside towns and remote villages and learning about the region’s traditional arts and crafts. A trip well worth booking if you want to enjoy the diverse landscape Java and Bali has to offer as well as learning about the local culture and the amazing spiritual aspects of this place. Some amazing show stopper experiences, such as dining with the royals, sunset cruise on the yacht and an unforgettable blessing ceremony. Highly recommend:)

Java and Bali Premium is excellent! Our guide Nova set the bar high for my future group travel. He is a genuinely good human who keeps things on track without it feeling stressful. I used this tour to kickoff a month-long yoga trip to Bali. I’m so glad I got to experience Java too. Yogyakarta should be on everyone’s bucket list.

Such a fun, worthwhile adventure, with an excellent balance of scheduled activities and "free" time. I appreciated the balanced exposure to historical sites as well as local culture and day-to-day life. Our leader Corry, was outstanding in all respects - competent, knowledgeable, sensitive and fun. I wish he could be "bottled".

I had booked a similar trip to Indonesia including Bali for January 2020 which was canceled due to covid. I am very glad I went ahead and rescheduled this dream trip! Our guide Corry was wonderful and I learned so much about the interesting cultures and food of Indonesia. Yogyakarta was a highlight that I never expected. I highly recommend this trip. I did travel premium this time and met some wonderful people who shared the journey with me.

I had no idea what I was getting myself into, but have come back from this trip changed for the better. This was such a wonderful experience, and having Intrepid as part of it was instrumental to how rejuvenated and educated I felt throughout. I highly recommend!
