Rajasthan is a desert state and so it’s important to prepare for hot sticky temperatures during the day and cooler climates in the evening. Layers are the best way to tackle this disparity in weather.

An unforgettable journey. I really enjoyed the special moments like seeing tigers in safari, a vintage train ride, of course the Highlight to see the Taj Mahal, vibrant markets, boat rides, dance shows, and stunning forts. Excellent food, smooth organization, and a fun atmosphere. Intense program, but also some possibility to relax at the Pool and enjoy the food.

As first time visitors to India, this trip provided us with a great insight into Indian society and its people, as well as hitting many of the big sites. The tour leader was outstanding and made sure we got the most out of the trip. Support staff and accommodation were also very good. Overall, an excellent tour and happy to recommend.

This tour is the only one we could find with an itinerary that allowed us to see major cities of interest as well as the tiger preserve. Our expectations for “premium” accommodations were met because we were there for the adventure in a third world. Our tour guide AJay was exceptional in taking us to extra historical sites along the way, arranging thru his personal connection to sit next to the royal king and queen during the Hindu festival in India that kicks off Holi with bonfire singing dancing and celebration . Ajay often took care of things quietly and efficiently behind the scenes always attentive to our safety and wellbeing. For example we were the only couple climbing the mountain to Savitri mata temple in Pushkar before Holi so he woke up to see us off at 5:30 am and give clear directions to the tuk tuk driver to wait for us — a beautiful experience. During Holi color festival he helped us have a fabulous fun and safe time ever watchful of us in the crowds . He negotiated the return of a lost phone of one fellow traveler to our amazement. He was instrumental in enhancing our tiger experience thru strategic discussions with the guide including mad dash around the lake to maneuver around other tourists anticipating tigers movement when he could have easily just ended our afternoon tour. These are just a few of the memorable experiences that made the trip “premium”

At first I was hesitant to travel to India but now I have experienced the history, the culture and friendly nature of the people I would recommend that everyone should travel to India at least once in their lifetime. India is a country of contrasts, history, culture and vibrancy.

This is a wonderful tour full of variety and fantastic experiences including seeing tigers in the wild, Taj Mahal and hot air balloon flight. I feel so much more educated about Indian history, culture, religion and way of life.
