Is this trip right for you?
Rajasthan is a desert state and so it’s important to prepare for hot sticky temperatures during the day and cooler climates in the evening. Layers are the best way to tackle this disparity in weather.
There are a number of long travel days on this trip. Some journeys take up to six hours, but are a great opportunity to get to know locals, fellow travellers and the diverse scenery.

The premium India experience truly exceeded our expectations. The country is amazing and our tour leader was excellent in imparting his knowledge of the places and experiences. The heritage hotels on the tour were amazing and a great experience. The sights we visited on the tour were well chosen and gave us a great insight into India and history.

Having just returned from the Premium India in Depth tour I can say that having experienced lots of group tours this was one of the best. In terms of the range of experiences from history, nature, culture and transportation I can not remember a trip that has been so immersive in terms of understanding and experiencing a country. The trip is truly a feast for your senses, from the food, ambience and even the traffic it was something that I will remember for a long time. One of the most amazing experiences was seeing seven tigers in the Ranthambore national park. Words can not describe the beauty of these magnificent creatures and myself and my other group members felt incredibly privileged to have seen so many of the tigers. The grandeur and majesty of the Taj Mahal can not be under estimated and must simply be experienced as well. I would also like to say a huge thank you to our Group leader Ravi who really enriched the experience. India is unique and simply must be experienced. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

From spotting tigers in Ranthambore, narrow gauge rail through the Aravalli hills, hotels in old palaces and rich cultural and food experiences this trip has something for everyone. i cant recommend it more highly

What an awesome trip. My first with intrepid and I have been so impressed with the organisation, the packed itinerary, additional extras, the colour, the noise and wonderful food throughout. I feel as if in 2 weeks I have packed in at least a month of experience. Intrepid and our fantastic guide Ravindra have taken us through the life and history of Rajasthan and Indian life, immersed us in the food and flavours from good restaurants to street foods and everywhere in between. Introduced us to the culture and beliefs of Hinduism and marriage and cast system and answered every question in between. Our visit to Ranthambore Tiger Reserve was outstanding. We were told honestly that the likelihood of seeing a tiger was 25-30%. We saw 7 in one day over 2 drives! What a special day. We have shared special memories with new friends, shared laughter and group jokes and will dine out on multiple stories for months to come

Incredible tour of India! India was not at the top of my list for travel destinations, but this tour ended up being one of my most favorite and memorable experiences. Our tour guide Kuldeep was amazing! His knowledge of the history, religion and culture of India gave us such an incredible insight into this beautiful country and its people. He showed us a special way to connect so warmly and intimately with the local people and it is something I will always treasure and never forget. On top of the incredible sites that we got to see, the food was delicious! I never felt sick on this trip. Kuldeep always let us know when we could or couldn’t eat or drink something. We even did a street food tour, which was amazing! If you have a chance to take this tour, don’t miss it! Make sure to request Kuldeep!

Intrepid’s In-Depth India with Kuldeep far exceeded expectations. If you are interested in the culture, customs and history of India, take this tour. The beauty and philosophy of the people is mind blowing, and you see it now, but learn how it began in ancient times. The history is fascinating, castles and temples stunningly gorgeous, and itinerary just right. Accommodations and transport were good, not fancy, but really good service and drivers. Don’t miss it if you have the chance to go.
