Is this trip right for you?
In the summer months, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh can get very hot. Be sure to drink lots of water, pack light cotton clothing and use adequate skin protection.
There are several early mornings on this trip, as many parts of India really come alive in the dawn light.
It can get foggy between December and February, which can put a spin on the already spectacular scenery. However, it may cause traffic congestion and delays.

A fantastic 9 days touring India. The tour was fast paced but ticked off so many of my bucket list items which included an optional balloon ride in Jaipur, visiting the Taj Mahal early in the morning and a boat ride on the Ganges at sunrise. Our tour leader was a wealth of information and was so helpful and approachable. I cannot recommend this tour more highly to anyone wanting a deeper understanding of Indian culture, geography and experience.

We travelled to India in March 2026 with Intrepid. We had a wonderful experience thanks in large part to our tour leader Jitendra who brought us on amazing street tours of the old towns of Jaipur, Delhi, Agra, Lucknow and Varanasi, an unforgettable experience. Our ability to cross the chaotic streets improved dramatically over the tour thanks to our guide.

I could recommend this trip more highly. The sites, sounds, culture and history was explained so thoroughly by our guide, Abhi, that added another level to the experience. We would not have had this if we had traveled independently.
