Is this trip right for you?
In the summer months, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh can get very hot. Be sure to drink lots of water, pack light cotton clothing and use adequate skin protection.
There are several early mornings on this trip, as many parts of India really come alive in the dawn light.
It can get foggy between December and February, which can put a spin on the already spectacular scenery. However, it may cause traffic congestion and delays.

This trip was inspirational. Our tour leader, Mukendra, went above and beyond to bring India to life. The sights, smells, tastes and sounds of the places visited were otherworldly. Sampling the lives of local people, meeting skilled craftspeople, hearing how a very different culture operates and above all seeing the work of Intrepid Foundation organisations isn’t just a holiday, it’s a life changing experience.

This was a fantastic and varied trip. I had never travelled to India and was so glad I finally did it. Out tour guide Pradeep was fantastic and looked after us all the way and taught us so much about the history , culture and food. . There are long drives and a long train journey so be prepared for this! Only fault was a couple of hotels being changed from those suggested and whilst fine not quite the standard we had expected for premium . The Taj Mahal was everything we hoped for but there was so much more that was amazing too.

Exploring the Golden Triangle provided a great introduction to India without being overwhelming. I loved historic and bustling Delhi, the beauty of Jaipur, and the wonderful colours and people of Varanasi. India is a photographer's paradise and trying so many different styles and types of food was a treat!

Our first Intrepid tour (Premium India) was an immersive and life changing experience for us led by our excellent tour leader Anjali. The itinerary in combination with cultural activities was the perfect way to experience India in depth.

This trip was amazing we had a great group and really fell on our feet with Kuldeep our tour leader. It was so nice to have everything so well organised so we could just enjoy all the sights. The accommodation was very good and particularly great in Jaipur. I would definitely recommend this tour and Premium Intrepid in general and would love to book with them again some time!

An Amazing trip to India thanks to the great guide (Tony), he delivered the Best experience to see India! It was a shame that Intrepid ignored the emergency status in Sri Lanka and did not refunded that part of the trip (they provided only a letter to the insurance). I would be 100% happy if it they handled this on a more professional way and cared about the safety of the customer. They stated to me that the team there thought it would be safe, but heard many reports of deaths, lack of water and electricity in the country by several news channels.
