Why you’ll love this trip
Step into another world as you walk through ancient halls and hear the myths and legends surrounding some of the most impressive castles in Eastern Europe – Bran and Peles.
Dine like royalty in Azuga, where you’ll share lunch with bubbles after a tour of the town’s winery – the sparkling tipples were the favourite of Romania’s last monarch, King Michael I.
Dive deep into one of the oldest salt mines in Europe, in use for about 2000 years. Spanning more than 43 km, Turda Salt Mine contains an amusement park, a contemporary art museum and an underground lake.
Explore the cobbled streets and medieval marvels of Sighisoara – a UNESCO World Heritage city with historical churches, cafes and museums, and a deep history dating back to the Romans.
Discover the Transylvanian Saxon villages of Malancrav, Medias and Biertan – home to historic fortified churches, timeless rural traditions and fairytale scenery.
Is this trip right for you?
Many of the wonderful cities and sites of this trip are explored on foot. Please ensure you bring sturdy walking shoes and comfortable clothes, plus suitable luggage for navigating cobblestone streets.

Our trip to Transylvania was a wonderful surprise. We had no idea that this part of the world was so rich in culture, history and beauty, from the ancient, cobbled towns and cities to the stories delivered by a series of exceptional guides. This was a really well put together trip.

If you are even thinking of undertaking this trip just do it. Amazing destinations, leadership, and accomodation. Romania is not yet 'over-touristed'.

This premium trip delivers premium accomodation & dinner inclusions not seen in other tours. Romania is a country which is emerging from a turbulent past & is now a premium destination. Friendly locals & great food options for all tastes. A fantastic locally born & educated guide.

Romania was awesome! This itinerary allows you to really experience Romania, the culture, beauty and history. Our local guide Barni was phenomenal - 100% recommend. Check out this less traveled European country for a truly unique and enjoyable experience.

My wife and I had a great time on the "Premium Belgrade to Bucharest" tour. The group size (9) was great as we toured very efficiently. The Mercedes van and all accommodations were very comfortable. Even in heavy traffic the driver was patient and drove safely. The activity level was as advertised. Our group guide was very communicative and responsive to our needs and the city guides provided excellent first hand information.

This is a great way to learn more about a very beautiful country with a rich history and culture. Our tour guide Sylvana was excellent and shared her knowledge with a sense of humour and adapting to everyone in the group. Highly recommend this trip as great value for money with fine food and accommodation.
