Trip Informations
Spend four days on the Inca Trail or the Quarry Trail to one of the Seven Wonders of the World – Machu Picchu! Whether you’re a new trailblazer or an experienced trekker, this short trip allows you to join a local leader, local porters who know the land well and a small group of likeminded adventurers to one of the most iconic sites in the world. Discover a lost civilisation and get active, soaking up the gorgeous views along the way, seeing ancient ruins and mingling with locals.
Why you’ll love this trip
This trip allows trekkers to visit Machu Picchu – one of the magnificent Seven Wonders of the World, sitting high in the Andes mountains.
Get active with one of the most iconic treks in the world, soaking up gorgeously lush scenery and travelling with a small group of adventurers and local leaders and porters to help you along the way.
Follow in the footsteps of a great lost civilisation up to the Sun Gate overlooking mighty Machu Picchu. If you take the Quarry Trail, pass amazing archaeological sites, valley views and enjoy off-the-beaten-path cultural interactions.
Start and end your journey in Cusco – Extend your stay a few days to really explore the old capital of the Inca Empire and become aclimated to the high altitude. Explore the archaeological remains, Spanish architecture and the Plaza de Armas (the central square in the Old City).
Whether you trek the Inca Trail or Inca Quarry Trail, you'll be travelling responsibly with a company that cares about balancing profit and purpose. Tuuur is the largest B Corp certified operator on the Inca Trail and we’re committed to operating our treks for the benefit of all.

This was a very memorable experience! Our main guide Beto and second guide René were great. Beto was very informative and always kind and enthusiastic and René always supportive of every member of the group. All the porters were amazing and always positive. The food was delicious and very sufficient for our hiking efforts. Bravo Modesto!

My admiration for Hernan and his team knows no bounds. Their constant support and encouragement made the Inca Trail easier than it was. Without doubt one of the hardest challenges I have accomplished.

Worth every step! Incredibly grateful for the opportunity to do the Inca Trail trek. Big shoutout to our lead guide, Hernan! Also thanks to Giorgio & Royer. Their support and kindness helped make this experience great. One of the hardest physical things I’ve ever done in my life but also one of the most rewarding. Would definitely recommend this trip with Intrepid to others. Gracias por todo!

Our family had a great trek in the Inca Trail with great guides, cooks, and porters who made it less challenging and fun.

The 4-day/3-night Inca Trek was fantastic. The staff were so friendly, informative and professional. It made for an incredible experience that was both physically rewarding and insightful to Peru’s incredible Inca history, flora and fauna. I’m in awe of what can be cooked at >3,500m of elevation (aka the meals were delicious). I would highly recommend this!

Absolutely awesome hike on the sacred Inka trail to Machu Pichu with Intrepid. An unforgettable and special experience. Exceeded any expectations we had tenfold, worth the months of training and preparation. Would go back and start again if I could. Special memories.

We had an amazing experience doing the Inca trail through Intrepid. Our guide Fernando was excellent, very experienced and knowledgeable. As well as the porters and cooks who went above and beyond to look after us and make it such a memorable experience.

The guides and porters were an absolute highlight. Jose Carlos and Joel were so attentive, knowledgeable, patient and helpful. The food was absolutely amazing and I’m in awe at how the porters produced this with limited resources on camp sites. We are so grateful for all the staff that made this safe and possible for us. Everything was thought out and planned out very well. The hike itself was hard but our guides made sure the pace was appropriate.
