Why you’ll love this trip
Explore the idyllic beaches, volcanos, swimming coves and bays that make up the Greek Islands. Lounge on soft sands or lava pebbles, surrounded by towering cliffs, and soak up the European sun.
Hike the rim of the caldera in Santorini and soak up breathtaking views of cliff faces, mountains, small villages and the Aegan Sea.
Rub shoulders with the locals in the village of Lefkes – surrounded by olive groves and distinctive Cycladic architecture – with an included meal of Greek favourites like moussaka and dolmas.
Take a short hike to Odysseas Elytis Theatre for an epic sunset over Ios, then hit the thriving nightlife and make new friends at local beach clubs that come alive when the sun goes down.
Fill your heart (and your camera roll) with gorgeous sunsets (and sunrises if you’re keen), expansive island views and iconic Greek architecture on a trip that lets you find the spots to hang out, take photos and meet new friends.
Is this trip right for you?
As this trip only has limited time in Athens, we highly recommend staying a few extra days before your tour to enjoy all this amazing destination has to offer.
The main means of transportation on this trip is by public ferry. These ferries are large, and transport hundreds of people, along with cars and trucks. There are no reserved seats and passengers are free to walk around the ferry freely. Luggage is stored in a designated area on the car deck and is not accessible while the ferry is moving.
Summer temperatures in Greece can reach up to 40°C, which can be uncomfortable for those not used to the heat. Please consider the time of the year you wish to travel and your suitability for that season.
Some of the Greek Islands are hilly and mountainous, which means steps are an inherent feature of the landscape. You will need to be able to lift your luggage and carry it up and down stairs and inclines. We recommend packing as lightly as possible for this reason. For more information, check out the "Packing" section of the Essential Trip Information.

Evelina was amazing - so caring and kind, approachable and knowledgable. She really went above and beyond to accommodate all of our requests and handled little challenges that we came across like a pro. I absolutely loved this trip! The perfect amount of fun, culture, chill time and loads of time on the water. I feel so blessed and lucky to have made so many good friends and for all of the special experiences and moments we shared. Thank you Evelina and thank you Intrepid for such a memorable trip! I can’t wait to do more!

I had lots of fun on this trip. Since our group was relatively small I got to know everyone and we really grew together as a group. Our tour leader was also very open and helped us with everything, we just had to follow. It was really a great experience!!

The Premium Portugal trip was fantastic! Matteo was an outstanding guide—knowledgeable, friendly, and organized. The mix of activities, history, and just the right amount of free time made every stop memorable. A perfect balance of culture, food, and fun. Highly recommend this trip and Matteo!

Vasso is the most amazing tour leader in the Greek Islands! Had the best week ever, wouldn’t have been the same without her.

An absolutely amazing experience! Evelina was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made the entire process fun and engaging. Every step felt well thought out and professional, but never boring. It allowed freedom but also provided suggestions on what to do and guided you around. You can tell they love what they do—and it shows! Highly recommend!

Georgia was absolutely amazing! She asked what our interests were at the start of the trip and after I mentioned liking art, she told me a few days later that there was an watercolour painting class in Paros if I was interested! Of course I said yes! She organised it all with the artist, and all we had to do was show up! It was amazing! Georgia also helped us book a wine tasting too! She was so friendly and sweet! Everyone on our tour was great too.. we had a lot of shared interests and heaps of fun together! I recommend doing the Sunset Cruise in Santorini at the end of the trip… I’m not usually a fan of boats (due to getting seasick) but I am so glad I did it as I think it was my favourite part of the trip! We had so much fun swimming, eating and dancing on the boat! I miss my group already!!

This trip is amazing and Georgia is the best guide ever! One thing that may be helpful is your guide will give you restaurants and activities for days with little inclusions that most of the group does. There’s a lot of time to break off on your own but also always something to do as a group!

Absolutely amazing trip! Many optional activities that our group all did together, but it can be a very loose schedule if you prefer! Lots of iconic spots and I felt very immersed in the culture! Met lots of amazing people and would definitely recommend!

An unforgettable trip to Greece! Our leader, Vasso, was friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful. Though few activities were included, she made exploring easy and fun. Well-organized transport, comfy hotels with pools, and delicious food added to the experience. Made amazing memories and lifelong friends—highly recommend!
