Trip Informations
Spend a week in Morocco and find the best balance between bustling city medinas and relaxing mountain and desert landscapes – with this week-long adventure that hits Marrakech, the Sahara and the Atlas Mountains. Get lost (the good kind) in Djemaa el-Fna Square, hike the Todra Valley, enjoy a homecooked lunch by a local family in Todra Gorge, then head to the Sahara for a bucket list camel ride during sunset and a camping experience under the expansive night sky. Travel to the mountains, where you’ll experience the Tawesna tea house to try the best mint tea in the world (and a locally sourced Moroccan meal to pair it with). Hike through the peaceful Imlil and return to colourful Marrakech to end it all with a bang!
Why you’ll love this trip
verified
Hike through rugged terrain and small villages, then take in the view of the valley as you tuck into a home-cooked meal prepared by a local family in Todra Gorge.
verified
Tick the Djemaa el-Fna Square off your bucket list in Marrakech and wander through the amazing chaos of street performers, singers, poets and street food carts all vying for your attention.

Is this trip right for you?
verified
The weather in Morocco can be extreme. Summer temperatures can be uncomfortably hot, especially if you're not used to the heat. If you do travel in the warmer months, bring the necessary sun protection and drink plenty of water. At night the temperature can drop, so bring your warm clothes, too. Camping can be especially cold in winter and near Aroumd you can expect snow at the start and end of the season.
verified
Travelling during Ramadan can be a rewarding cultural experience, however, some regular services may not be available during the daytime, such as restaurants, and occasionally travel can be disrupted by events. Your leader will adjust the itinerary accordingly, but please consider your travel arrangements carefully before booking travel for this period. Refer to the "Climate and seasonal information," section of your Essential Trip Information for more details and dates.
verified
Todra Gorge and Aroumd are remote areas of Morocco. They’re best explored on foot, so you’ll need a moderate level of fitness and hiking shoes. You’ll also take only a small bag of essentials with you for your two-night stay in Aroumd. Please see the Packing section of the Essential Trip Information for more details.

This trip covers a lot in a short period of time, meaning some long travel days. This can be tiring, but is a great time to get to know your travel buddies! Make sure you’ve got your best car game ready, or a good podcast downloaded to pass the time.
verified
We've sourced our accommodation carefully and picked the best possible hotels in line with the Tuuur style of travel, but please note that service and accommodation in Morocco may be different from Western standards.

This trip is a great way to see a lot in a short period of time and it can be part of a longer itinerary if you have more time to explore. You might like to check out Real Morocco.

Fantastic trip - amazing value for a really varied itinerary. I never thought I'd be camel trekking in the Sahara desert! The atlas mountains were also a huge highlight. Amazing food as well! Youssef was a brilliant guide - knowledgeable and keen to share local culture while also making a relaxed and fun vibe for the trip. Really recommend!

This trip was fun and non stop! The optional actives were not really focused on as you have very little free time to do anything other than ride the bus to the next destination. Overall the food felt basic but it was still an immersive cultural experience where you see how the vast majority of Moroccans live.

I loved this tour because it enabled you to see the sites that really need a guide or to hire a car - Todra Gorge, Sahara Desert, High Atlas Mountains. I loved that we got to spend two nights in the mountains to relax amongst stunning scenery and go on a half day walk up Mt Toubkal - the family who run the guesthouse were lovely and a trip highlight. Youssef was a great guide and we had a really fun group of solo travellers and small groups of friends. Would recommend!
