Why you’ll love this trip
verified
Only Petra’s Treasury – one of the Seven Wonders of the World – is stunning enough to be the temple of the Holy Grail. Your pass to this sacred site lasts two full days so that you can explore every nook and cranny at your own pace.
verified
See the lowest point on earth – the Dead Sea – and float in its famously salty waters, soaking up its healing minerals and lathering yourself in the rejuvenating mud (if the mood strikes).
verified
Sleep under the stars at a Bedouin-style camp in Wadi Rum with all the creature comforts, waking for a stunning sunrise and a thrill-seeking 4WD adventure.
verified
Take a guided walk around Amman to learn about the city’s diverse history (and also to stake out where to get the best falafel and hummus).
verified
Get a taste of the ancient and modern sides of Jordan with loads of free time – just ask your knowledgeable local leader, who’s always ready to answer every question and provide the best local tips.
Is this trip right for you?
verified
You’re the boss on this trip. There’s loads of free time to do whatever you want or optional activities to show you the way. With so much to see and do, Jordan can sometimes be expensive, so budget a little extra cash for activities that aren’t included.
verified
It’s not all hot desert days in Jordan, as the winter months (December to February) can be quite cold. Temperatures in northern parts of the country can drop to freezing overnight. Snowfall around these areas, as well as Amman, is common. Pack smart to prepare you for varying temperatures if travelling during these months.
verified
There is quite a bit of walking involved in visiting Jordan's historic sites, especially in Petra and Wadi Rum, so a reasonable level of fitness is required. Most of the time there is no shade so remember to bring a hat, sun protection, and sturdy, comfortable walking shoes.

This trip is part of a longer itinerary. You might be joining travellers who have already spent some time together. If you have more time to explore, you might like to check out Real Egypt & Jordan.

Jordan is a country worth a visit. If you love history and are interested in ancient stories or arabic culture, then this is the country to go. Plus the dead sea is amazing and is a once in a life time experience. Although in middle east, rest assured Jordan is very safe,

This trip was so fantastic! Well organized, exciting, busy, but never overwhelming. As a solo female traveler, I never felt unsafe, even with the war happening so close. Jordan is so calm and beautiful, wish I could’ve stayed longer! Abdallah and the people on this trip really made it the best!!

I highly recommend this tour as you truly get such a wonderful experience of Jordan. Wadi Rum and Petra are the true highlights and are both such unforgettable experiences. Furthermore our trip leader Mohammed made the trip an even more wonderful experience.

I loved exploring Jordan with Intrepid! Our guide Mohammed was very knowledgeable, and taught us lots about the history and culture of this beautiful country. He also had a cracking sense of humour, and by the end it felt like a holiday with a group of friends!

First solo trip - Jordan's trip will forever be etched in my heart as one of my favorite recent trips. The tour leader, Mohammed, was approachable, exceptionally knowledgeable, and provided detailed communication about the tour and expectations. The itinerary was perfect! My favorite part of the trip was our two nights in Wadi Rum. We had a lot to do, but we also found plenty of time to relax and reconnect with the group or spend time alone. The trip was much more special because everyone was respectful and friendly.

I would highly recommend visiting Jordan and Intrepid’s Real Jordan Tour to anyone looking to explore the Middle East in a organised, group setting. I absolutely loved Jordan from start to finish; the culture, people and food, it was all incredible. The tour was well paced and included all the must see sights. Muhammed, our local guide, was very knowledgeable, personable, professional, funny and well organised, at no point we were left feeling unprepared, rushed or bored and he gave us a true Jordanian experience. I visited in June 2024 and felt safe and welcome from the time I arrived to the day I departed, visit Jordan!
