This amazing trip made me realise how diverse the Philippines are as a country, with all its tribes, dialects, different traditions. There's more to enjoy about the Philippines than just the beaches! The rice terraces were mind-blowing.. but challenging. My advice: get the walking sticks right from day 1 (they're cheap to buy at the jump off)

Leader Ian and driver Ronald were awesome. Highlight was Mt Pinatubo for me. Rice terraces were very interesting. Hikes not too difficult. Great local guides and a fabulous home dinner. Restaurant stops could be improved.

The trip was fascinating and very interesting. I am no regular hiker by any means, but it was easily done and you got rewarded by beautiful views. Be prepared for early rises. Our guide Ian was very helpful and energetic. Really an amazing trip with lots of special experiences and very little other tourists around, which was amazing as you could observe the local lifestyle.
