Trip Informations
Why you’ll love this trip
Everyone’s seen a photo of the Taj Mahal, but nothing compares to seeing it in person in the glowing morning light – you and your family will understand what beauty really is with a viewing of one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
Feel the excitement build as you visit Ranthambhore National Park to hopefully catch a glimpse of a Bengal tiger stalking through the jungle – this place looks like the Jungle Book in real life!
Take part in a fun Bollywood dancing class in Jaipur and learn some moves made famous by India’s huge Bollywood film industry.
Enjoy an organic farm-to-table dinner in Jodhpur, right in the heart of the farmlands. Here, they grow the local produce completely chemical-free, and the kids might be able to pick some of the produce themselves.
Visit the National Camel Research Centre in the desert in Bikaner and learn about the importance of this integral animal in the desert ecosystem. Then, maybe try camel milk ice cream!
Is this trip right for you?
Rajasthan is a desert state, so you need to prepare for hot, sticky temperatures during the day and cooler climates in the evening.
While there is no guarantee you’ll see a tiger during your safari in Ranthambhore, you may have a chance to see a variety of other wildlife, including hyenas, jackals, deer, langurs, marsh crocodiles, wild boars and birdlife.
You visit several temples on this trip, which requires a certain level of modesty. Please bring clothes covering the arms and pants/skirts past the knees. A light scarf is also good for covering shoulders and arms when it’s hot.
Itinerary
Treat your senses with a Northern India family holiday
On this 14-day trip, you and your family will dive headfirst into India’s heart and experience the soul of its people, the weight of its history and the diversity of its land. Travel from cities packed with impressive monuments and temples to the welcoming and simple surrounds of rural villages and desert landscapes. Go wildlife spotting in Ranthambhore National Park and witness one of the Seven Wonders of the World at the iconic Taj Mahal. Go beyond the curries and chow down on street-food specialties like savoury chaats and samosas. Tour a local organic farm and enjoy a unique farm-to-table dinner experience in Jodhpur. Learn some Bollywood dance moves, try camel milk ice cream, visit decaying and newly restored architecture, learn about India’s history and see some incredible views.

I loved the trip to India with Abhi. I learned so much and we got to see Tigers in the National Park on both safari drives. I loved all the forts and temples and activities and Abhi was the best!

This trip is amazing, I travelled alone with my 9 year old and my leader abhi was beyond fantastic. I would strongly recommend abhi as your tour guide if you’re not traveling with a spouse or partner as he made the whole trip an ease being unaccompanied♥️

Abhi was a great guide! He really went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. He was always working in the background, was very friendly, and the kids liked him a lot (family trip). Would definitely want to have him again as a tour guide!

Our leader, Abhi, was incredible! He noticed EVERYTHING, knew all of our food/drink/ spice level preferences and was great with the kids. We saw a big variety of things from monuments to tigers to carpet weaving demonstrations!

I went on the Northern India Family Comfort Trip. Our leader was Abhi, and he was awesome! He did a great job of talking to and including the kids. He went out of his way to make sure everyone was comfortable and had everything they needed. The logistics of the trip were seamless with Abhi handling everything so we could just enjoy the activities.
