Trip Informations
Why you’ll love this trip
Immerse yourself with the sights and smells of buzzing Delhi as you walk through the colourful markets and bazaars and feast on street chaats (Indian snacks like fried flatbread).
Tick an iconic sight off your list and see the Taj Mahal in the glowing morning light. This UNESCO World Heritage site is one of the Wonders of the World and you’ll see why!
Explore the depths of Ranthambhore National Park – it’s like the Jungle Book has been brought to life! Keep your eyes peeled for gazelle, antelopes and the stealthy Bengal tiger during two game drives.
Discover the traditional and vibrant city of Jaipur on walking tours with your local leader, and see why it’s known as the ‘Pink City’.
Experience a special stay in a 17th-century palace in Alsisar – with its grand courtyards and arcades, you (and the kids!) will feel like royalty.
Is this trip right for you?
This trip involves some long bus and train rides, which can be tiring but offer a quintessential experience of the Indian landscape and people.
We visit several temples on this trip, which requires a certain level of modesty. Please bring clothes that cover the arms and pants/skirts that go past the knees. A light scarf is also a good idea for covering shoulders and arms when it’s hot.

Our high expectations for our trip to India were exceeded. The itinerary was brought to life by our tour guide, Abhi, who shared his love of his country and knowledge during our vibrant, exciting, culturally diverse and at times challenging trip.

I was nervous about travelling to India with my 11 year old son but we had the most incredible experience. India is an amazing destination and the trip offers everything-incredible monuments, diverse cultures, beautiful wildlife and a chance to meet local communities. We have made new friends and have memories we will always cherish. People Often talk about life changing experiences and I think this has to be one.

I am more than happy with my experience on the family adventure intrepid trip! From start to finish our tour guide Ajay made us feel very comfortable and he was very approachable. We travelled with our 8 year old niece and at first I was worried about her safety yet Ajay reassured us and her and made us feel very safe as a group. We all felt very at ease in his company and I am so grateful for his help with my mum. My mum has mobility issues and he was always there to offer a helping hand. Thank you Ajay and thank you intrepid!

Intrepid’s family trip in India has been the holiday of a lifetime for my husband and 11 yr old daughter. we would never have been able to arrange such a treat ourselves independently. The leader was amazing. Everything was taken care of. We have made family memories to last a lifetime
