Trip Informations
Immerse yourself in the cultures of North Morocco on this eight-day adventure. Wander through the Atlantic port of Tangier and the blue-hued streets of Chefchaouen, learn about your hosts’ culture in the sacred city of Moulay Idriss during a homestay experience and watch the sun bounce over the Roman ruins of Volubilis. Discover the medieval city of Fes and dance in the eternally festive Djemaa el-Fna in Marrakech, where sights and sounds mingle to create a colourful chaos. This trip lets you soak up the extravagant sights of cities and ancient towns alike, featuring the many hidden delights North Morocco has to offer.
Why you’ll love this trip
Experience the local hospitality during your homestay with a charming local family in Moulay Idriss – where you can enjoy a hearty homecooked feast by your host and learn about their culture.
Embrace the Atlantic breeze in the coastal town of Tangier and see the vivid blue hues of Chefchaouen over sunset, while you explore the houses and laneways of this surreal city.
See the impressive Roman ruins of Volubilis, which rise from the Jebel Zerhoun Plain, and get lost in the charm of the zigzagging lanes in the once imperial capital of Meknes.
Relive a medieval past in bustling Fes. While many tourists get lost in the labyrinthine streets of the medina, you'll have a local guide to show you the way.
Explore the sprawling public square of Djemaa el-Fna. Where else would you find drummers, dancers, fortune tellers, jugglers, street food vendors and old medicine men all in one place?
Is this trip right for you?
Ramadan is a month-long festival in Morocco, often in March and April. Travelling during this period can be a rewarding cultural experience, however some regular services may not be available during the daytime, such as restaurants or coffee bars, and occasionally travel can be disrupted by events. Your leader will adjust the itinerary accordingly, but please consider your travel arrangements carefully before booking travel for this period.
The trains can get busy at peak periods, so we’d recommend packing lightly and compactly to make sure you can get on and off the train easily and quickly. You'll need to be able to handle your luggage through busy train stations.

North Morocco Adventure was a super itinerary and routing. Loved every bit of it. We travelled during Ramadan with no inconvenience at all. In fact it enhanced my experience of the local people and customs.

Great value trip visiting a variety of modern to ancient locations. Loved the train rides and the local-led walking tours. Our guide was kind, enthusiastic and helpful. Together with the drivers, i felt in safe hands considering I visited in the week that the 7 year drought ended with heavy rain storms! The resulting waterfalls were amazing and i will never forget the atmospheric Volubilis in the morning mist. Tackled a lot of steps in Chefchaouen, beware those with knee issues, but was nice to have 2 days for slower pace. Public hammam was an experience not to be missed. Accommodation all good and functional, homestay was chilly as expected, would have been nice to have a bit more interaction/exchange with the family -the home cooked food was delicious. I look forward to exploring the south at some time in the future.

Excellent North Morocco trip with Fayssal, who was a brilliant tour leader - always friendly, fun, organised and approachable. The trip was very interesting and, although there was rain, it didn't detract from it at all. I was unsure as to whether to travel independently or not but was very glad I chose the tour because the two days I spent alone were quite challenging as a solo woman traveller. Overall a great experience.

The February 2026 North Morocco Adventure was first-rate in every aspect. Eye-opening in every regard, and the quality of the lodging, transportation, food, sites visited and the guides was very high. Of special merit was our own Trip Leader, Aziz Eddahbi, and the Tour Guides at Volubilis and in Meknes.
