We did the intrepid trip from St Johns to Deer lake June 2025, 9 of us and Simon our driver and guide. Screeched in, puffins, ice bergs, many viewpoints, quaint towns, time for small hikes, good restaurants. It moves fast so good to couple with extra days in St Johns to start and Rocky Harbour in Gross Mourn at end to hike. Great trip and great people, would definitely recommend this trip for an introduction to Newfoundland.

This one was spectacular. Great tour guide, Simon. Great and good food. Icebergs, puffins and a moose. Gorgeous coastline, lighthouses. Gander - a personal story. Tiny villages, jelly bean houses, friendly people. So many things to learn, lots of laughs.

And Simon was a great tour guide! With humor, kindness, patience and generosity, Simon shared his broad knowledge of the local history, geology, botany and biology. He kept us on track and brought us to places of breathtaking natural beauty, cultural and geographic history. We visited shorelines, cliffs, gorges, lakes, and fishing villages. We saw historic lighthouses, heritage towns and buildings. puffins, icebergs and even a moose!

Newfoundland exceeded our expectations even though the weather didn't always cooperate! The puffins and the Skerwink trail were outstanding. (I do recommend hiking poles and good hiking shoes for the latter if you're unsure on your feet.) Our guide Simon was excellent and offered the group some flexibility in the itinerary here and there, which was much appreciated. We ate and slept very well and loved all the scenery. I highly recommend this tour!

This was an excellent trip! I fell in love with Newfoundland. My highlights were watching the puffins up close, seeing the first humpback whale of the season, and the delicious berries & iceberg wine we got to sample. I also thoroughly enjoyed the lovely coastal hikes and would have liked more of that included on the itinerary. I also made a lifelong friend on this trip which was so lovely. Our guide and leader, Simon, was awesome! I would 100% ask for him again on my next Intrepid adventure. He is very knowledgeable, considerate and always made sure everyone was comfortable, taking care of people's dietary needs, and making recommendations on places to see based on each person's unique taste. He also has a great sense of humour and has traveled all over the world. It was inspiring to speak with him.

This was a fabulous tour that covered a huge amount in a short time – face to face encounters with puffins and icebergs particular highlights. Simon was an excellent and inspiring tour guide (many thanks Simon). If the tour could be extended to include a leg up to Labrador it would be close to perfect but even without that, worth every penny.

Our trip through Newfoundland was excellent, we explored the natural beauty of the island and were embraced by the warm and friendly people who reside there. Our guide was insightful and flexible, allowing us to make the most of what we wanted from the trip. I would absolutely return to Newfoundland soon and recommend this trip to anyone looking to venture onto those rocky cliffs to see icebergs!

A wonderful cultural and informational tour of Newfoundland. Mia was the best tour guide ever, and the people of Newfoundland most welcoming to tourists.
