High Atlas Mountains can be very cold in the winter, with feel-like temperature reaching -20⁰C (or more on extreme days!), so you must have the appropriate footwear and clothing. To be fully prepared, please follow the recommended clothing list closely. As your luggage will be carried up the mountain by mules, we ask that you have no more than 1 bag (duffle bag or rucksack) weighing no more than 16 kgs and a small rucksack for trekking essentials.

Our trip to the Atlas Mountains with Intrepid Travel was outstanding. The landscapes were breathtaking, and every day brought a new adventure. Our leader was open, honest, fun, and incredibly knowledgeable - everything you could hope for in a guide and friend. I can’t wait to book our next journey with Intrepid

An authentic journey into the Atlas Mountains with locals who truly understand the region. Bear in mind that Toubkal is not always accessible due to weather (as was the case with our trip) but it did not take away from an incredible week in an unforgettable landscape with experts on the region. Has transformed my understanding of Morocco and would highly recommend.

Despite the weather conditions preventing an ascent of mount Toubkal, our guide, Lahcen, and his team arranged a great alternative itinerary! The landscape is beautiful and the local team is very kind and hospitable!

Great way to see Morocco if you’ve not been before and love the challenge of a mountain hike. A couple of days around Marrakesh was just enough to make me want to go back for more!

I had never trekked up a mountain as high as Toubkal before and especially not in winter but our amazing guide Mohamed Id Blaid really looked after us. He was so friendly and knowledgeable about the mountain and the area that I felt totally safe at all times. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!

One of the best trips I’ve ever done. A once in a lifetime opportunity. Mohamed, our guide, was incredible. Knowledgeable, professional, witty and caring. I certainly wouldn’t have made it to the top of Mt Toubkal without his help.
Thank you
