Trip Informations
Whether you’re a newbie trekker or a well-travelled walker, this hiking trip in Morocco’s High Atlas Mountains is sure to lure you in. From colourful Marrakech, this seven-day trip will see you staying in mountain gites and hiking huts, trekking through mountain scenery and reaching the ‘roof of North Africa’ with an expert crew and some trusty pack mules. Climb to the summit of Jebel Toubkal, or Mount Toubkal, from base camp and discover a renewed love for mountainous landscapes and the adventure of being thousands of metres above sea level. As this trip gives you a day to acclimatise to the altitude and traverse the villages at your own pace, it’s perfect for trekkers of any level.

Experience local life after hiking to your accommodation in a traditional gite (mountain house) in an Amazigh village nestled high in the Atlas Mountains.

An amazing adventure. Incredible scenery . Very well organised. Our guide Ibrahim couldn’t have been better. He was kind , patient, and a strong leader when required. I am in my 60s and I did find the summit day quite tough… so a good level of fitness required if you have a few grey hairs !

The entire trip was well organised and we were informed of the correct kit to bring before hand. The Guide Ibrahim especially was fantastic; he was extremely knowledgeable, willing to explain any questions, good humoured, always helping the group so that everyone felt supported, and gave meaningful history and background about Morocco and Imlil. He elevated the entire trip massively and was a pleasure to be around. The team’s cook also served fantastic and delicious food every day without fail, and the mule team and second guide were perfect. The scenery and experience was astounding.

Amazing, truly unforgettable trip hiking the High Atlas and climbing Mount Toubkal. Travelling with family, safety was paramount and our guide Brahim was exceptional in his capability, caring, knowledge and expertise that I cannot recommend him highly enough,. We were also supported by an amazing chef and mule team, and additional guide (Abdul) on summit day. We were thoroughly welcomed and really able to absorb local cultures, everything was taken care of for us so we could enjoy our adventure without the burden of normal daily mental load, so truly benefitted in physical and mental wellbeing. Thankyou so much Brahim and the team, truly nothing could have been better, we recommend without hesitation and would hope to return.

Absolutely loved this tour! Ibrahim, our guide, was amazing and went above and beyond. The food was incredible and the mountain accommodation was great. Toubkal was challenging, with some 9–10 hour hiking days, so you need to be physically fit. But reaching the summit and climbing North Africa’s highest mountain felt incredible! Would definitely recommend and book again with intrepid
