This hike was tough - 1000m over 3.5km at altitude as part of the last day - so you need to be fit and have goid endurance. It’s busy too but worth the effort! Loved it. Great insights into Morocco’s village life too thanks to a wonderful guide!

Reaching the summit was incredible. I was a bit nervous if I would be able to climb Mount Toubkal - I have solid cardio as a runner, but have never had to carry a pack or any weight on hikes before. My guide Ibrahim and the intrepid itinerary helped prep us incredibly well for the difficult trek physically and just as importantly mentally, especially with the acclimatization practice hikes and the extra multiple nights at elevation before summit day in Armoud, which when I was comparing to common alternatives (g-adv, MBA) didn’t seem to be as conservative in itinerary to derisk altitude sickness. Definitely still prep your fitness before going and get high quality gear if you’re new to the space.

My first Intrepid tour exceeded expectations. Ibrahim was an exceptional guide — stress-free logistics, clear communication, and genuine care for the group (he even sourced a rain jacket in a remote village when I forgot mine!). An incredible physical accomplishment that’s inspired me to tackle more mountains. Highly recommend.

I really enjoyed the experience. We were fortunate to have a friendly group who all got on well together. Lahcen and Mohammed looked after us extremely well throughout, we were fortunate to have such professional guides who created a very friendly and relaxed spirit, despite the physical effort needed on the trip.

If you are planning to climb Toubkal, I cannot recommend Lahcen enough. He, along with Hassan and Muhammad, provided a seamless and supportive experience. When the weather turned, they were understanding and ensured we felt safe and comfortable with the decision to turn back. They are more than just guides; they are wonderful hosts who truly care about your experience in Morocco. A polite, hardworking, and insightful team!

Lahcen, our local guide, provided an exceptional Toubkal trek. Caring and safety‑focused. Great food, clean comfortable lodging, and cultural insights including a hammam visit. Though weather prevented the summit, his knowledge, hospitality, and leadership made the adventure authentic, rewarding, and highly recommended.
