The Sahara Camp is on the edge of the desert. In 2019, the Moroccan government put measures in place to improve the safety, quality and impact of desert camps, which means that camping inside the Erg Chebbi dunes is no longer possible.

Several days include a great deal of time spent on your feet, particularly Day 5 (Fes) and Day 9 (M’Goun Valley). A moderate level of fitness and comfortable walking shoes will ensure you get the most out of your trip.

Ramadan is an annual month-long festival, during which travel can be a rewarding cultural experience, however some regular services may not be available during the day, such as restaurants or cafes, and occasionally travel can be disrupted by events. Your leader will adjust the itinerary accordingly, but please consider this when selecting your travel dates. If you want to see the real Morocco, with a strong balance between the old and new, you should consider this trip. Intrepid have amazing tour guides. You get what you expect for the comfort trip price. Everything was perfectly comfortable, clean and safe. This was my first ever tour and I was slightly hesitant, but I loved every moment of it. Mariam and Aissam are both amazing tour guides. If you are considering this tour…just do it!!!

What an amazing trip. The pacey start was perfect, full of adventure and experiences. Then the middle of the trip settled into a perfect combination of travel, experiences and a bit of much needed down time, before the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh.

Great tour. Learnt enormous amount about Moroccan history, culture, religion, landscape, farming way of life and much more. Enjoyed visiting the many souks and Medinas and enjoying local cuisine. Our tour guide Mohamed was outstanding - his knowledge and ability to share with the group was excellent and he looked after the group like his own family. Our driver was also excellent ensuring our complete safety

Our trip to Morocco exceeded all expectations. Our guide Mohamed was truly incredible and added so much more to this amazing trip due to his knowledge, insight and genuine care for the group. The itinerary was great and covered so much, from big cities, bustling medinas and souks, to desert sunsets and small farming villages. It provided us with a great insight and appreciation into Moroccan life.
