The Sahara Camp is on the edge of the desert. In 2019, the Moroccan government put measures in place to improve the safety, quality and impact of desert camps, which means that camping inside the Erg Chebbi dunes is no longer possible.

Several days include a great deal of time spent on your feet, particularly Day 5 (Fes) and Day 9 (M’Goun Valley). A moderate level of fitness and comfortable walking shoes will ensure you get the most out of your trip.

Morocco is a beautiful country both in terrain and architecture, complimented by the warm hospitality of its people. Our guide was supportive and accomodating. I really enjoyed the camaraderie of our group, half of which, like I, were solo travelers.

I highly recommend travelling with Intrepid tours. Especially for women travelling on their own who want to feel safe and are anxious. We were a small group of eight people, which made it more personal. The guide Youseff was outstanding and very knowledgeable and approachable. You get to see all the highlights, the hidden gems and meeting the locals of Morocco. I've now got memories I will treasure forever.

This trip was fast paced and so fun! I had no idea that Morocco had so much variability: the blue city, high and cool mountains, the Sahara and the Medinas in Fes and Marrakech! I didn’t know what exactly to expect but the tour made all the itinerary and travel a breeze. Our guide, Saber, gave a great insight into the culture of Morocco. Traveled with my mom and that was so helpful for her.
