The Sahara Camp is on the edge of the desert. In 2019, the Moroccan government put measures in place to improve the safety, quality and impact of desert camps, which means that camping inside the Erg Chebbi dunes is no longer possible.

Several days include a great deal of time spent on your feet, particularly Day 5 (Fes) and Day 9 (M’Goun Valley). A moderate level of fitness and comfortable walking shoes will ensure you get the most out of your trip.

I HIGHLY recommend Intrepid Travel! I have also taken tours with Gate 1, and although they are fine, Intrepid was EXCELLENT! We all loved our guide, Aziz and our driver, Mohammad. We made new friends in our travel companions and our guide!

Morocco is a stunning country and this trip did not disappoint. Our guide Mohamed was the best as was our driver Samir. A small group made it really fun. Highlights include the camel ride in the desert and the beautiful city of Chefchaouen!

Morocco, what a beautiful country. I was there in 1974 and this trip surpassed my expectations 50 years later. The itinerary was great and the trip was enhanced by our superlative guide Mohamed and driver Samir. Our small group was super fun which made it great! Excellent and interesting trip!

This tour made it possible to see more of Morocco in a short period than is possible while travelling independently. I loved the small group, having a knowledgeable and highly organised tour leader, plus the local guide with specific knowledge about each area. Visiting the homes of local people was a definite highlight. The accomodation was generally mediocre although some had rustic charm.

I can’t imagine getting to know Morocco in any other way than I did on this tour. Our guide was beyond fantastic, the tour is perfectly paced and intrepid offers an insight into Morocco that you wouldn’t typically get if you were with a different company.

What an awesome trip. Fabulous time of the year to go as was great temperature in shoulder season. Our guide Hicham was amazing and his knowledge about Morocco was excellent. We had a small group of 8 which was really great and easily managed. Thoroughly recommend - great friends made along the way.
