Morocco is a great food destination for vegetarians. With wonderful fresh produce and many delicious local dishes, you'll have a great time on this trip. For vegans we recommend reviewing the itinerary and inclusions to ensure that you will be able to fully participate and enjoy this trip. We also have many other trips to the Morocco which can accommodate a range of dietary requirements.

As this trip covers quite a lot of ground there are some long drives. These are excellent opportunities to get to know your fellow travellers, catch up on some reading, or simply appreciate the scenery.

On Days 8 & 9 you'll visit M’Goun Valley. This remote area of Morocco is an amazing place to discover on foot, but to do so you'll need a moderate level of fitness and have the relevant footwear and clothing with you. Don’t worry if trekking isn’t really your thing, there are plenty of other activities to do in the valley.

The weather in Morocco can be extreme. Summer temperatures can be uncomfortably hot, especially for those who aren't accustomed to the heat, so please consider carefully what time of year you travel.
verified
Although you shouldn’t expect any aggressive selling techniques in Morocco, please be aware that you may be approached by shop owners and street vendors offering their goods to you on regular occasions.
verified
Ramadan is an annual month-long festival, during which travel can be a rewarding cultural experience, however some regular services may not be available during the day, such as restaurants or cafes, and occasionally travel can be disrupted by events. Your leader will adjust the itinerary accordingly, but please consider this when selecting your travel dates. You’ll find dates and further information in the ‘Climate and seasonal information’ section of the Essential Trip Information.

My Moroccan Food Adventure exceeded all expectations! Our guide, Ayoub, was exceptional – his deep local knowledge and thoughtful surprises, like a sunset dinner at a viewpoint and a visit to a semi-nomadic family, were unforgettable highlights. From the magic of Chefchaouen to the Sahara desert safari, every moment was special. The food experiences were immersive and delicious. This tour was an amazing blend of culture, food, and adventure. Highly recommend for an authentic Moroccan experience!

What an exceptional experience this was. The focus on the Moroccan food did not disappoint. Each delicious meal was excelled by the next. The generosity of our hosts in their homes of the introduction to Moroccan food and their hospitality made this trip. The visit the Amal Foundation was heartwarming.

This is my first time travelling with Intrepid and it will not be the last. This trip has the most positive impact on my understanding that we can give back to the local communmities in a very respectful way. I am looking forward to book more community-based tours with Intrepid.

Where to begin with what was wonderful... a night in the desert gazing at the Milky Way after a camel ride in the Sahara; making our own bread and then baking it in a primitive oven at the gite in the M'Gown Valley; the cooking class to make our lunch of Moroccan "salads" at Amal in Marrakesh; learning the traditional way to make couscous; learning about the people and their culture in an Islamic country; or the tasting trails at various medinas...
The small group size was excellent. We have made some new friends of like-minded travellers that we will definitely be keeping in touch with!
Highly recommend this trip - we were busy but never rushed with some downtime that we ended up all spending together!
Loved our tour leader, Mohamed!!!!
