Trip Informations
Experience all the marvels of Morocco on this 10-day adventure. Start in lively Marrakech, experience the bustle of Casablanca and then immerse yourself in the blue hues of Chefchaouen. See ancient history up close at Volubilis’ Roman ruins, step back into the Middle Ages in Fes el Bali and then travel out to the sand dunes of the Sahara Desert. Share lunch with locals after exploring the palm groves and Amazigh villages in Todra Gorge and Dades Valley, then toast the success of your adventure with a rooftop drink.
Why you’ll love this trip
Explore the dramatic red dunes of the Sahara Desert on a camel’s back, experiencing an unforgettable sunset – then stay under a blanket of North African stars in a desert camp.
Spend time in two of Morocco’s most picturesque towns – the 11th century kasbah of Ait Benhaddou and Chefchaouen, with its striking blue and whitewashed houses, red-tiled roofs and artistic doorways.
Watch the scenery change from desert to oasis in Todra Gorge and Dades Valley. Get active on a hike, learn about life in the oasis and enjoy a delicious home-cooked lunch with Amazigh hosts.
Dive into the culture and history of Morocco – admire the majestic Volubilis ruins, rub shoulders with the locals in the old medina in Fes, and see the museums of Casablanca.
Where else would you find drummers, dancers, fortune tellers, jugglers, street food vendors and old medicine men all in one place? In Marrakech of course, exploring the acclaimed Djemaa el-Fnaa.
Is this trip right for you?
Summer temperatures in Morocco can get very hot (over 40°C). If you're travelling in the warmer months, be sure to wear layers, use sun protection and drink plenty of water. Nights can get quite cold, so warm clothes are essential.
Ramadan is an annual month-long festival, during which travel can be a rewarding cultural experience, however some regular services may not be available during the day, such as restaurants or cafes, and occasionally travel can be disrupted by events. Your leader will adjust the itinerary accordingly, but please consider this when selecting your travel dates. You’ll find dates and further information in the ‘Climate and seasonal information’ section of the Essential Trip Information.
As this trip covers quite a lot of ground there are some long drives. These are excellent opportunities to get to know your fellow travellers, catch up on some reading, or simply appreciate the scenery.
This trip doesn’t spend a lot of time in Marrakech. We highly recommend you plan extra time in this fascinating city if your time allows. Please speak to your booking agent if you are interested in booking additional nights in the city.

Mohamed was wonderful. We could not have asked for a more kind, patient, attentive trip leader. Our driver, Yusef provided us with safe transportation and did a fantastic job. The itinerary was so well thought out and we were able to see so much of the country in a short period of time. The Moroccan people were kind and welcoming and the country was beautiful and so culturally rich. A+ trip!

We had a great experience on our tour, led by Kahlid. Because of Kahlid's expertise, we gained a far greater understanding of Moroccan culture that would not have been possible in a different setting. So many highlights on this tour, our group size was perfect (14), and on all aspects, Kahlid's committment, flexibility and friendly manner made this such a great experience we will never forget!

Excellent 19-day tour of the historic, cultural, religious, and natural Highlights of Morocco. Great opportunities for meeting local Arabs and Amazegh (Berber), eating local foods, hearing their music, hiking, camel riding, and shopping. Nacer went out of his way to provite authentic exeriences and insights and to take care of everyone. We appreciated his additional session discussing engagement, marriage, divorce, widowhood etc allowing for Questions and Answers to build multi-cultural understanding. He also put us at ease by self effacing jokes and simple dancing to encourage our participation and unity as a group. What a fun and educational holiday!

An Unforgettable Moroccan Journey! We, family of 3, just finished an incredible trip "Morocco Highlights" from March 20-29th , and it wouldn't have been the same without our amazing team, Abdel and Amine. Abdel is a phenomenal guide. His deep knowledge of Moroccan history, culture, and hidden gems turned every stop into a fascinating story. He was professional, attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcome and immersed in the local atmosphere. Amine, our driver, was equally fantastic. He is a true professional behind the wheel—we felt completely safe navigating everything from busy city streets to winding mountain passes and flooded roads. The vehicle was always spotless, and his calm, friendly demeanor made the long drives feel like a breeze. Together, they are the perfect team. If you’re planning a trip to Morocco, ask for Abdel and Amine—they will make your experience truly special!

Nacer made us feel so well looked after on the tour, while also providing us with the resources to explore areas independently. He went above and beyond with booking intimate Moroccan experiences, such as having lunch in an Amazigh family's home and showing us traditional music and dance in the Sahara and with the Amazigh family. He also provided us with discussions about culture and food, such as how to prepare mint tea or how wedding ceremonies are celebrated. He had many connections in each stop, which allowed him to arrange trusted and knowledgeable guides through places like the Medina in Fes (which would be nearly impossible without a guide not to get lost) and the Dades Valley. During longer travel days, Nacer knew where to stop over for the best food, cafes, toilets, or shops to ensure people has safe food to eat. For shopping for souvenirs, I knew what I bought was good quality and was going to a good cause. For instance, going to the women's cooperative for rugs, we got a tour of them making the rugs in real time, learned about the unique symbols used in each rug, and learned how to they provided safe conditions for those who worked there. They also offered refunds or return if we weren't satisfied. Throughout our drives through different towns, Nacer shared information about them and I got to learn a lot more about the history and agriculture of many places in Morocco. I can't say enough praise about this tour. It was a very busy trip, but I would say if someone is new to Morocco or doesn't know the language or the area, this is the best way to discover trusted areas you may want to return to, have insider experiences, and overall, learn a lot more about Morocco
