7. Ramadan is an exciting time to travel through Morocco but there are also a few things to bear in mind. Meal times will be a lot later than you may be used to, in particular dinner. You will find restaurants will open at 7–7.30 pm in the evening for dinner. Which will mean your family may not be eating dinner until 8–8.30 pm. Likewise breakfast may not start until 7 am. As you travel through the countryside there will be limited small road side cafes to stop at. Your leader will pre-plan where to stop to ensure families have access to snacks and bathroom stops along the way. Morocco is a Muslim country therefore alcohol is not readily available, particularly during Ramadan.

Fabulous family tour (two adults, two kids age 12 and 14) around key sights of Morocco. Super well organized, fantastic, caring and knowledgeable guide (Khaled) and an excellent safe driver (Hammou) made for a great trip. The camel ride and sunset/rise in the desert was an absolute highlight and the camp was luxurious, but we enjoyed all our inclusions. Balance of sight-seeing/breaks and driving was good. Traveling in Dec/Jan was very cold/wet at times, so plan for your visiting season appropriately. Tour before us had to detour due to snow in the High Atlas for their return leg to Marrakech. While the hotels do vary trip to trip, some on ours were very basic and cold - we definitely put our thermals to good use. This was our first trip with Intrepid and we'd definitely book again.

Our Morocco Family Holiday Comfort trip was unforgettable. The itinerary was perfect for families, and our guide, Lahcen Id Blaid, was exceptional—knowledgeable, caring, and always prioritizing the group’s safety. Thanks to him, we felt completely at ease and truly immersed in Morocco.

We loved this family tour - it was a great opportunity to see so much variety in Morocco as well as connect with other families. Our trip had 5 girls ages 10-15 who always hung out together and played cards in the evening. It was nice to have a mix of adult and family time. The trip highlight was the Sahara Desert - would’ve nice to have more time there. It was an unbelievable experience all around. The hike in Todga Gorge was also interesting and lovely, as well as exploring the Medinas in Fes and Marrakesh. The accommodations were often an alternative to what was listed but all wonderful. Highly suggest booking a night at the same hotel before and at the end of the trip go explore Casablanca and Marrakesh further. Our guide Youssef was organized, easy to talk to and attentive to our kids. It is long journeys but our mini bus was comfortable (we had 4 extra seats). Was my first intrepid tour but won’t be my last.

Our 10 day Morocco trip was a huge success for our family of 3. We loved having local guides for every city and the incredible knowledge and help from our trip leader Youssef. We loved the food, the camel ride, the hike, and the Moroccan cultural experience. Already planning our next intrepid trip!

We loved our Moroccan family vacation! Every single day was perfect. We loved the food so much, even more than we expected. Our Trip Leader was Youssef. We couldn’t ask for a better guide. He was perfect, kind, organized and fantastic with kids. He chose multiple family homes as hosts for lunch, and I’m sure the best Moroccan cuisine! I can’t believe how well we ate! The camel ride and the hike in todra gorge were my top experiences! I can’t wait to travel either Intrepid again!

From Camel riding, pancake making, numerous lunches in local houses and exploring Medina’s - this trip doesn’t disappoint. Prepare for lots of driving but every location was worth it! Our tour leader Hassan and driver Rashid ran an organised itinerary which showed us the real Morocco. Hassan’s passion for the landscape, culture and history was infectious - lots of memories created for us and our children and some lovely new friends made! . Thank you Intrepid for another fantastic experience.

This is an amazing trip! We visited enchanting places, Fez medina, Erg Chebbi sand dunes and the fortified village Ait Benhaddhou being highlights. Our guide Hassan was an amazing human. And we made wonderful new friends. Thank you Hassan and Intrepid.

As my first intrepid holiday I found this a great way to get the most out of a country I don't know much about. I experienced things that I would not have if I had planned it myself. My guide made us feel safe in an unfamiliar location
