7. Ramadan is an exciting time to travel through Morocco but there are also a few things to bear in mind. Meal times will be a lot later than you may be used to, in particular dinner. You will find restaurants will open at 7–7.30 pm in the evening for dinner. Which will mean your family may not be eating dinner until 8–8.30 pm. Likewise breakfast may not start until 7 am. As you travel through the countryside there will be limited small road side cafes to stop at. Your leader will pre-plan where to stop to ensure families have access to snacks and bathroom stops along the way. Morocco is a Muslim country therefore alcohol is not readily available, particularly during Ramadan.

We are just back from Morocco Comfort Family Tour and it was just amazing. This is our third Intrepid Family Tour and once again it was excellent. On our tour we travelled with a great mix of people and children from various different countries so was lovely to meet them too. Our guide Hassan and our driver Brahim were fantastic. Everything was organised well, packed full of activities, interesting and varied, we felt so safe. There were so many highlights its difficult to pick the best ones from the buzz and colours of the medinas, to the amazing home cooked food, the film studios, Todra valley trek, to camping in the Sahara desert (unforgettable experience). All activities were well paced and suited our range of tour participants who ranged from age 5 to 63! Would highly recommend Intrepid Family tours for anyone wanting to see the world whilst travelling with children.

So much to love about Morocco - just go and experience this wonderful country with a group that cares about the people and places and experiences they can provide. From riding camels in the desert to walking through valleys of gardens it is truly an eye opening experience. And our kids had a great time too!

The experience by which I will compare all others! This trip of a lifetime was made even more special by the care, guidance, and planning of Intrepid. This was my first time, and it will definitely not be my last. I'm already looking at what we can do next!

Our Moroccan Family trip was truely amazing. Travelling as a sole parent with children (12 & 14 years) is an unforgettable experience with Intrepid. The children loved the camel ride in the Sahara Desert, walking through the Todra Gorge in the Atlas Mountains, the beautiful and hospitable Berber families we met along the way and the welcoming pools at the accomodation (perfect when travelling through Morocco in summer!). Our guide Youssef set the perfect pace for the group ensuring all the children and parents had an enriching and engaging experience. I cannot recommend this trip highly enough! So well planned and organised, an incredible experience and memories to last a lifetime!

We have recently done an amazing family trip in Marocco with Omar Bouredda.
Our tour started in Casablanca and finished in Marrakesh. First day, we were welcomed by our guide
and fellow travellers. Our guide’s informative and constructive instructions provided a solid
foundation for our exploration. Throughout the trip, our guide’s warmth and friendliness opened
doors to many authentic experiences and enriched our knowledge about Moroccan and Berber
cultures. It seemed to us that our guide has been known by many people in all the cities we visited,
he was always greeted by people from all ages. He had already made good connections. This gave us
a big confidence and created a difference to be with Omar. If we have not been harassed by anybody
at the streets by anyone, this is due to our guide’s attitude.
The Medina tour in Fez, the camel ride at Sahara desert, the visit of water irrigation systems, the
10km Atlas mountains hike on the search of nomad families, the family lunch and dinners, the tea
ceremonies, the visit of Atlas movie studios and finally Marrakesh city were the highlights of our trip.
We were in total 3 families, we all enjoyed the trip. Kids were from similar ages, they had a good
time and built a lovely memory of the Marocco.
We can easily recommend our guide, Omar, who has had exceptional rapport with our children and
who kept his positive and friendly attitude from morning to evening every day. His contagious
enthusiasm and genuine care ensured that every member of our family felt welcomed and valued.
Without a doubt, we wholeheartedly recommend this Marocco family adventure trip to anyone
seeking an unforgettable experience, made even more special by the guidance of remarkable
individuals like Omar. Thank you.

We took our first family tour with Intrepid, and it was beyond our expectations. I was worried about dynamics with other families, and everyone meshed. I was worried about being bored on long drives in the van, and there were plenty of breaks/stops. Our guide, Omar, was AWESOME. Having a guide/tour company manage the details made the experience stress-free and relaxing for our family. Thank you Intrepid!

We had the most amazing time in Morocco on a Family Comfort trip. Our leader Jamal Kassi was wonderful, we felt very safe with him and his local knowledge was invaluable. I loved visiting the old medina in Fes, a feast for the senses! My children (8, 10, 12) liked the camel ride in the Sahara the best. I loved the experiences that would have been impossible to arrange ourselves; sharing mint tea with a nomad is his tent and being served a Moroccan feast in a local's mud-brick home were moments I'll never forget. Our trip was made all the more enjoyable by travelling with other families and sharing the experience together. I'm very thankful that our family has had such a great time in beautiful Morocco and that we've had the opportunity to go beyond sightseeing to understand more of the history, the culture, and the people of the country.

This trip gave us an amazing insight into the country - we really feel that we saw and experienced a great deal.
Our trip leader was excellent and helped us to experience local customs and meet local people which was so special.
The hotels on our family comfort trip were of a good standard overall, but the first and last hotels were far superior to the rest.
