Mexico Unplugged is perfect if you want to experience Mexican culture, traditions, food, and history beyond the typical tourist experience. Valentina was a great tour leader, always helpful and full of great recommendations! Just be aware there’s a lot of travelling between destinations, which can get tiring, but it’s absolutely worth it.

To be able to see how so much of the old cultures are still relevant in their society today😱 Our tour leader Valentina's knowledge was exceptional & can truly see why she LOVES doing this job. I met some amazing people from all over tge world & from day one we got on so well & being a small group certainly helped.

Mexico Unplugged is a great introduction to this beautiful country and showcases the diversity and rich cultural, heritage and history of Mexico. We were lucky to have Andrea as our tour leader and her charisma, energy, knowledge and great sense of fun made this an amazing and memorable experience. She was always one step ahead in making sure everything was organized and ready for us and made it look effortless. When she mentioned there was a Michelin starred restaurant in Oaxaca and the group showed interest, she was able to get a last minute booking for us (10 people!) which is quite an achievement! You’ll see and experience many incredible things … from visiting ancient ruins, eating delicious food, strolling down colorful colonial streets, swimming in turquoise cenotes .. and much more! There is a lot of bus travel but it’s all very comfortable and there are adequate stops along the way. Would highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in visiting Mexico and get a good taste for this fascinating and fun country.

This is an excellent introduction to the history, geography and culture of Mexico. There is a lot of travelling but it is worth it to see the incredible historical sites. I was touched by the warmth and friendliness of the Mexican people and their willingness to share their knowledge of this incredible country. As vegetarians (one of our group was also dairy intolerant) we were happy that most restaurants were willing to adapt their menus. Our guide was also willing to search out and recommend local vegetarian friendly restaurants which were always excellent. Thank you to our guide Kei, who took such good care of us x
