Is this trip right for you?
This trip involves some long days of travel by private and local transport. While this can be tiring, it's also a fantastic way to rub shoulders with the locals and get under the skin of a place.
Mexico's climate is sultry and tropical, so can get really hot and humid. Wear loose clothing and make sure you stay hydrated, especially while out on walking tours. You can also expect to walk a lot and the terrain is rarely flat. Make sure to pack a jacket for the higher altitude cities like Mexico City, Puebla and San Cristóbal de las Casas.

I joined Intrepid’s Mexico Unplugged trip and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. 🇲🇽✨ Our tour leader, Lu, was absolutely exceptional—knowledgeable, organized, and full of energy, with a genuine passion for sharing Mexico’s culture, history, and hidden gems. She made every moment feel effortless, from navigating local transport to finding the best food spots and creating a wonderful group atmosphere. The itinerary was perfectly balanced between adventure, cultural immersion, and relaxation. I came home with incredible memories, new friends, and a deeper appreciation for Mexico. Highly recommend this trip, especially with Lu as your tour leader!

Originally i was a little nervous about coming to Mexico after all the things you hear about the place But that was not true at all I had the time of my life and I'd do it again. I felt safer in Mexico then I would in a European city. Sabina our tour guide was excellent and was so full of knowledge about Mexico The accommodation was great and the places we visited were so beautiful I highly recommend doing this tour And hopefully you have Sabina as your guide

I took this trip again due to having to leave very early for personal reasons last year. Valentina was very knowledgeable, personable and caring. It felt like being with a long time friend showing her own country around. She made this experience very special.
