Wonderful trip – Mexico City, Puebla and Oaxaca are three great and contrasting destinations. Amazing food – tacos anyone? - and experience including cooking lesson and traditional farm visit and best of all our wonderful tour leader Karla who along with the tour group really made this trip so special.

We had a lovely, small group and I learnt so much about Mexican culture, history, and of course food on this trip, plus our tour leader Karla was fantastic from start to finish! I can't wait to visit Mexico again.

This was a great trip. Our guide, Karla, was the best cultural ambassador Mexico could have asked for. She was incredible, a clear communicator, managed our expectations very well and was always kind and joyful. She had helpful suggestions for food, drink and excursions, as there is a good amount of free time on the tour, for example, Karla helped us purchase tickets so a group of us could attend the Lucha Libre wrestling, which was enormous fun. A few things to bear in mind: it's worth getting to Mexico City a day or two earlier to adjust to the altitude and visit Teotihuacan. If you are vegetarian, as I was, you will be eating a lot of refried beans, potato and cheese, this is not a criticism but a reality check. I would still do the tour, I never went without food as Karla always made sure I was accommodated, gave me tips for vegetarian restaurants and I learnt a great deal about Mexican cuisine, even if I don't eat meat or fish.

Our first Intrepid tour, as mid sixty year olds. Will not be our last. Karla was sensational and her handle on local knowledge was brilliant.
